Joao was pleasant but 30 min late and we had to ask probing questions to learn more about Porto. We’ve had many guides & tours and have been satisfied but this was a little disappointing but maybe he was just having an off day. He did show us a lot of the city and that was good It was okay

Joao is charming and gave my daughter and I a locals view of living in Porto. I was expecting to have a tour down the back streets of Ribeira, with stories of what had happened there and more historical information about past life in Porto. We visited the main avenues of the city which of course was vibrant and we especially enjoyed our visit to the old custard tart shop. It was a fun trip. If anything I would have liked to have learnt more about the history of Porto. Joao made sure we were filled in about what to do and where to go after our trip. Thanks very much! On the beaten track in Porto

João was very professional and an excellent tour guide around Porto. He showed us some amazing places and the food he selected was very typical Portuguese food that we would have not tried if we hadn't gone with him. He is very knowledgeable of the area, very friendly, and an excellent tour guide. I highly recommend him and the tour to anyone that wants to learn about Portuguese food and wine.Great Porto Culinary Experience

More than giving us just a taste of food Porto’s food, João also taught us a little about its history and the significance of its important landmarks. I only wish that at the Mercado do Bolhão instead of having us sit at a table while he got us food he’d taken us along to the food stalls so we would learn which vendors he favored. He did send us many helpful and informative links via WhatsApp. Great introduction to Porto

We had limited time in Porto and booked our food and drink tour with Joao. He was informative, friendly, and gave us a great taste of the city. We never felt rushed. His English was excellent. Private tours are more expensive but we felt it was worth the extra money for what you get. We would highly recommend booking Joao as your tour guide!Joao was outstanding!

We had a lovely day with Joao. His commentary was so interesting we barely noticed the hills. It seemed as though we walked all over Porto and Gaia. It is well worth spending a day with Joao. Getting to know Porto
