Joao provided us with a lovely overview and introduction to LIsbon on our first day! He shared tons of knowledge about the history and culture of the city. This is the second time we have toured with Joao. We thoroughly enjoyed the day and Joao's knowledge of Portugal is sweeping. We once again visited Nazare, Obidos, Batalha and Alcobaca. We were traveling with individuals with who had never visited Portugal and knew that Joao would be the right person to introduce them. The highlight of the day for me was lunch in Nazare. Joao always makes a great recommendation and I think it may have been my favorite meal of my whole trip. Will definitely work with Joao on any future exploring in Portugal.Another Great Day with Joao

João was on time and his communications leading up to the tour were extremely helpful. His knowledge of the history of Lisbon and Portugal is extensive. João showed us some city gems that saved us considerable time when getting around the city. I would not hesitate recommending João as a tour guide. History and Gems Galore

My 23 yo nephew and I did an all day tour of Óbidos, Nazaré, and Fátima with João, and so happy we did. João is born and raised in Lisbon and he has such a deep passion for the Portuguese culture, history and the people AND it shows in how he hosts his tour. Additionally, João is such a kind, easy-going and patient person. He entertained all of our questions no matter the topic, never rushing us, and he did it in a jovial, gentle, kind way. We truly did not expect to learn as much as we did. So we recommend that you run, don’t walk, to book a tour with João. I cannot say enough about the delightful and educational experience we had with Joao! Every step of the way he showed us the best of Portugal's magnificent historical gems. His engaging smile and highly knowledgable information took us from Lisbon to Sintra and CasCais. On another day, he drove us up to see Obidos, Nazare and Coimbra. He spent so much time and care with us. Joao made our trip so very memorable and we are so grateful!Joao is a Rock star!

Joao gave us an absolute fantastic tour. I always hesitate to take tours because I worry about being in with crowds of other tour groups. This walk was unique and away from all the other groups. We felt like we got a glimpse of the real side of Lisbon. I can’t recommend this experience highly enough. Amazing tour- highly recommend!
