Joao was a wonderful guide. He is very knowledgeable on the history of Portugal. We went on our 1st day and it was very helpful in getting the lay of the land. He also had tips on how to avoid some of the hills and steps.Great tour!

Joao is an absolute amazing tour guide. He met us on time, in fact he was early. Took us around Lisbon and showed us secrets to avoid the hills. We went west to east and down to “ the valley” and learned about the history of Lisbon. He is very knowledgeable and his English is perfect. I would recommend him to anyone coming for a visit to Lisbon. Well deserved 5 stars

Our guide Joao was simply fantastic he was punctual and we were not 🙁 but he made no fuss at all. He was extremely knowledgeable and really gave us a feeling for the Portuguese way of life and culture ! He also went the extra mile to ensure we may our way back to our area. Joao was so nice and extremely knowledgeable about the history of Lisbon. We felt like we got to cover the entire city during our tour and had a complete idea of the layout of the city, what each part of the city was like from a local perspective and learned a ton about the Portuguese culture. Joao was interesting, really friendly, and easy to talk to for the several hour tour. We arrived in Lisbon the day before and had been climbing all the hills to get around so when we met Joao and he showed us how to get around with better routes where you didn’t have to hike up all the steep hills, it changed the way we explored the rest of the city during our trip. We’d definitely suggest his tour to anyone visiting! Joao was great Best way to discover Lisbon

Nice and knowledgeable young local person. We learned a lot of unexpected things about Lisbon from João and we highly recommend him. We particularly loved the insider information regarding easy ways to get up and down the steep hills.Excellent guide for a Lisbon Walk

We thoroughly enjoyed our Lisbon walking tour with Joao on Saturday! Not only did he show us some secret tricks to bypass some strenuous hill climbing or long stairways but he also provided a comprehensive overview of significant historical events related to Lisbon and Portugal. He is thorough and paced to help you understand how Portugal has come to be what it is today and he is also extremely happy to answer any questions that arise. João provided the perfect introduction to the secrets of old town Lisbon. He has a superb knowledge of the history and culture of the town. The best part was learning all of the secret pathways to get around. He showed us around all the key neighborhoods and viewpoints.
