I’m a single dad with a deep passion for my hometown, Oporto. I was born and raised in this beautiful city, as were four generations of my family before me. I work with local cuisine and Porto wine tastings, sharing the rich flavors and traditions of my city.

Having traveled across four continents, I’ve experienced diverse cultures, but Oporto remains closest to my heart. On my tours, I love guiding my guests through hidden streets, revealing the secrets of where I grew up, played, and explored. I share stories about the city’s timeless architecture, preserved for centuries.

Our tour guide Jorge was fantastic—he captivated us with his endless wealth of local knowledge. His passion for his hometown of Porto shone through the entire tour. He introduced us to some delightful local food and drinks, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We would highly recommend Jorge. We booked a tour for 5 people with Jorge, with two of us having different dietary restrictions. He made sure there was something for everyone at most stops. Overall, he was very friendly and knowledgeable, and could offer excellent suggestions on where to visit outside the tour as well. A fantastic tour

Had an excellent tour with Jorge - despite very heavy rain! We started in the Mercado do Bolhão with a glass of vinho verde and a cheese platter followed by some beef carpaccio and tartare. Jorge was very friendly and informative about Portuguese food and life, showing us sights we would otherwise not have seen, such as the railway station and making suggestions for other visits. We went to a local restaurant for a sandwich made with slow cooked pork that melted in the mouth and finally another local restaurant for a pastel de Nata. Delicious! An excellent introduction to Porto, thank you Jorge!A great introduction to Porto

Prima gidsbeurt die aan al onze verwachtingen voldeed. Alhoewel al 3 dagen in Porto, kon hij toch nog de ontbrekende puzzelstukjes vonden voor ons, met als hoogtepunt de miradoures die niet in de gidsje staanJorge houdt van zijn stad!

We signed up for a 2 hour food tour with Jorge. We met at the Mercado do Bolhao for some starter snacks, and then walked to 2 other small, untouristy places for a simple meal and dessert. All the food choices were good and a comfortable conversation flowed throughout the tour. We liked the small, family-owned eating place the best. It had a good history and super food. The carpachio was also great. We recommend Jorge! Friendly Food Tour in Porto

Jorge will take you to places you would never find and already knows the menu hacks. He was great in conversation and helpful recommendations for the rest of our stay in Porto. Put simply, do this food tour! Skip the queue do this food tour
