I’m a single dad with a deep passion for my hometown, Oporto. I was born and raised in this beautiful city, as were four generations of my family before me. I work with local cuisine and Porto wine tastings, sharing the rich flavors and traditions of my city.

Having traveled across four continents, I’ve experienced diverse cultures, but Oporto remains closest to my heart. Myself and teenage son had a great time with Jorge. We were very impressed by his local knowledge of Porto and indeed of the country as a whole. It was very informative And we learned a lot. We walked all over the city and he paid attention to what we had already seen and had yet to see. He walked back with us to our accommodation to end our tour . I would highly recommend Jorge. Our walking tour with Jorge was truly unforgettable! We enjoyed our food tour with Jorge, particular highlights were the delicious Bifana at a local cafe by the river and seeing the beautiful tile work at the train station. Jorge was knowledgeable about Porto’s history and receptive to any questions we had. Thank you

We had the absolute pleasure of exploring Porto with Jorge as our guide—and what an incredible experience it was! From the very beginning, Jorge made us feel like locals, not just tourists. He’s knowledgeable, passionate about his city, and full of great stories that brought Porto’s history and culture to life. We started our tour at the iconic Mercado do Bolhao and enjoyed hand crafted wines, meats, and cheeses. Later we visited São Bento train station, where Jorge pointed out the beautiful tile work and shared its historical significance. Then we wandered through some of Porto’s most breathtaking cathedrals and churches—each one more stunning than the last, and all enriched by Jorge’s insights. What really set this tour apart, though, were the local spots Jorge introduced us to. We ducked into tiny hole-in-the-wall cafés and visited out of the way old town passageways that we never would’ve found on our own. We sampled classic Portuguese dishes—everything from fresh-baked pastries to savory local specialties. Each bite was unforgettable, and each stop felt authentically Porto. Jorge’s warmth, humor, and deep knowledge made this one of the highlights of our trip. If you want to see the real Porto—not just the postcard views—book a tour with him. We had an amazing time with George, we were treated to lots of local food & wine and learnt a lot about the history of Porto. The highlight was Casa Expresso for the best pork sandwich we have ever eaten George is a great host. Highly recommended 10/10
