My name is Jose Rodriguez, I was born in Valencia, I'm 38 years old and 15 years ago I started working in a kitchen in London until today, working in Michelin-starred restaurants, traditional restaurants, gastronomic venues, luxury hotels, etc.
For the past year, I have been offering these types of experiences for travelers in my home kitchen, creating a warm and familiar atmosphere as if it were a gathering of friends, where I combine my passions: cooking, history, and culture.
I love sharing stories through food and creating memories around a table.

Yesterday we had the cooking class with José.
And to be honest, it was a wonderful experience. We didn't feel like a customer. It quickly felt like friends cooking together.
José is a very warmhearted, patient teacher who always shows his love for food, creativity, quality and his beloved profession.
Besides the amazing food, the enriching conversations and the wonderful atmosphere, this event was truly one of the best things during our vacation in Spain. We wish José all the best and can just recommend it for everybody.Cooking class with a friend

We are very happy with the experience with Jose.
It was lovely to meet and take a walk through his neighborhood to his home together. A great way to start.
When at Jose’s place, we were ready for action. But the whole experience was truly Spanish - relaxed, with no rush, no stress. Some dishes were prepared ahead of time, others we made together from scratch. It was a perfect combo of cooking, tasting, chatting, learning, and laughing.
We were a family of three visiting Jose, with a six-year-old daughter. Jose did a great job engaging her as well. She got into the flow and wanted to help more and more towards the end. Relaxed,entertaining, delicious experience

There were 5 in our group, 4 love cooking, the other loves eating. We all had a fabulous time. Jose was warm, welcoming and a generous host and so knowledgeable about cooking, València and the region. We learned so much and enjoyed fabulous food and local drinks. We may not be able to eat Paella or drink sangria in a restaurant again as it can’t match Jose’s! This was definitely the highlight of our trip! Amazing Experience!

Had an amazing experience, highly recommend it to anyone interested in cooking and eating great food!
It was our first time doing a cooking class and we were deciding between this or a larger group class and I'm very glad we chose this.
Jose went above and beyond to make a truly educational and fun experience, the food and drink was delicious and we learned more about Valencian culture in an afternoon with him than we did in our other 3 days in the city.
Amazing experience, highly recommend!

One of the best experiences we booked during our 16-day vacation through Spain and Portugal! My husband and I love to cook and entertain, so this is right up our alley… and with a Michelin trained chef made it so much more special.
It is without a doubt that Jose loves what he does. Incredibly talented. The sangria, Galician octopus, paella… all incredibly delicious. He also taught us a little Valèncian history.
Memorable 5 star experience ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We arrived as strangers and left as extremely satiated friends. A thoroughly enjoyable and informative day. Jose is a master in the kitchen and a fabulous teacher, bringing the food and culture of Valencia to life. We could not recommend highly enough.

This was the highlight of our trip to Spain! Jose is an amazing cook teacher and historian of Valencia culture . The food was soo yummy we got to learn how to make and participate in his awesome apartment . It was cozy fun and edu ! Hit all the marks and more!!!! A MUST do!!!!Intimate paella tapas sangria cooking class !!

My husband and I always take cooking classes when traveling. Our day with Jose was fantastic, beginning to end. Jose is delightful and engaging, and the food and drink were delicious ... you probably won't find a better paella in Valencia than the one you'll make with Jose. And the rest of the meal is equally amazing, from cocktails to tapas to dessert. It truly felt like we were hanging out with a new friend, eating and drinking our way through the afternoon.
An absolute must-do in Valencia!

If you are looking for the best way to spend an afternoon or evening in Valencia, this is it! Jose will teach you about the history of the city, country and cuisine while making his signature Sangria (with a special twist). The tapas are superior in quality to any I found on the streets. The paella was a fun and interesting process to learn and turned out great! I highly recommend showing up on an empty stomach to fully enjoy the experience (go very light on breakfast/lunch or skip it entirely). Bonus: Jose sent us home with a special copy of his cookbook which included all of the recipes that we enjoyed during the meal to include his Sangria recipe!
Bottom line: Best Sangria/Tapas/Paella I have had in my one month in Valencia and I highly recommend this experience!High Quality Authentic Local Experience

Jose is a delightful and skilled ambassador for Valencian culture and cuisine. Jose is a very engaging and friendly host. We loved the way he used his home environment to share his knowledge, professional chef expertise, local stories and fabulous recipes. We very much appreciated that he consulted with us many days before on our preferences for the menu, and ran the session with just the two of us.
