Dear friends,

My name is Joško and I am Licensed Tour Guide in Split-Dalmatia County where I was born & raised and where I live still today. I grew up here during Communism & Homeland War so I was literally living history.

I have also enjoyed living in San Diego, CA for a few years of my life.

My life experiences, formal education, and authentic knowledge of the amazing Dalmatian Coast and it's rich surroundings have led me to turn my passion into my profession-tour guiding.

I graduated from the University of Zagreb, Croatia with Master's degree in History Studies & Economics.

For last 25 years, I have been guiding and creating customized outdoor & cultural tours in Croatia and during this time I have enjoyed partnering with many US and European travel companies.

I truly believe a Croatian destination will always be gorgeous & fascinating and I simply love being an ambassador of my beautiful country with visitors. As an experienced Tour Guide that gives an insider's perspective and as a resident of the region that has plenty of local knowledge to share, it will be my real pleasure to make your vacation time in my country joyful and memorable for a years to come.

I will be also very happy and proud to show you my hometown Split and region 'through the eyes of locals'.

Who knew history could be this much fun to explore and discover? Josko created such a wonderful experience and made us fall in love with Split! Not to mention how much he made us laugh, or gasp in wonder as we understood the privilege of discovering more than a thousand years of history. It was beyond our expectations! My husband and I were lucky to have had a very informative history tour with Josko on our first full day in Split. We found him to be an engaging, funny and very personable guide and enjoyed learning many things about the old town, Diocletian Palace and Croatia in general. He recommended a lovely place for lunch, a venue in the Palace for outdoor music in the evening, and a shop for excellent local chocolate. We highly recommend his tour!Wonderful introduction to Split

Joško was an awesome guide on our private tour of the history and hidden gems in Split. He brought a binder with pictures to help us understand and imagine the history of the city which we loved. He was very passionate about the stories and history as well.Best Split History Tour!!

We had a great morning! Josko was very knowledgeable about the history of Split and brought that history alive for us. We learned so many things that simply wouldn’t have been possible with a guide book on our own. As a native of Split he also offered a unique insight on the more recent history. Josko took our little group of 5 on a fascinating historical tour. He knows the history of Split so well and was able to tell great stories and put everything in context. We peppered him with questions and he could add value to even things we thought we knew about. Two hours flew by! Highly recommend. Never bored!

Joško was our host for an incredibly informative tour about the wonders of the Diocletian Palace and its surrounds. The walking tour was engaging, informative and allowed us to understand the story behind the many wonders within the Palace and the old town. Split is a wonderful city and through this tour we will certainly return to enjoy it further.
