We booked a private food tour for 3 with Julian and the instant we met him we knew it would be great! He is very personable, knowledgeable, and professional, and fun. We learned much about the history of Madrid along with excellent food and drink experiences. We love food tours and this was one of the best. It felt like touring a city with a dear friend. Fantastic Experience

A great afternoon with Julian, we started in a local market and tasted iberico ham and manchego cheese along with incredible mushroom croquettes and cider. Julian then took us to a local bar specializing in their own vermouth and the whole experience is like going back in time. The interior was amazing and it is not somewhere we would have thought of going without a guide. Our next stop included paella, potato bravas, and the best tortilla I have had in Spain along with unfiltered Albariño wine. Then finally we had desert at a local bakery run by Annie with very engaging and helpful staff. Throughout the whole experience Julian explained the history behind each location and how Madrid had changed over the years. We thought the historical perspective was as valuable as the wine and food. Overall a great day, the food selection was exactly what we expected but I was surprised in a good way by the wine tastings. I would never have ordered vermouth as a compliment to food and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Tapas and the history of Madrid

We had a wonderful time with Julian as he took us to special places we would never have known about on our own. We tasted some of the finest wine while enjoying fantastic cheese and most importantly learning about the background of Madrid as well as a history. His is So full of energy and knowledge we would use his services again and again. Julian is a connoisseur not just a wine and Spanish food but ialso a wonderful person to spend time with !learning about the culture history and the people we certainly hope to reach out to him for his services on many tours when we next visit MadridFANTASTIC AND FUN

Julian was great - a perfect mix of culture, history and fun. His tour was an ideal way to get oriented to Madrid. I was traveling with my elderly father, and Julian accommodated his speed and needs. We saw a ton, and truly enjoyed it. Thank you, Julian!Fabulous kick-off to our Madrid trip!

Julian has a wealth of knowledge and is clearly very passionate about the history of Madrid. He imparts this knowledge in an accessible and humorous way, so our time with him flew by and we learned things that would have completely passed us by if we had been left to our own devices. Including the fact that we enjoy bocadillos de calamares. He also gave us some fabulous restaurant recommendations, making our trip to Madrid even more enjoyable.Highly recommended
