⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had the absolute best experience with Julien as our guide at the Louvre. He was incredibly informative and had a gift for connecting the history of the museum with other places we had visited during our trip, which really brought everything to life. His storytelling, knowledge, and ability to make the art and history feel personal made this tour stand out. It was worth every penny and, without question, the best tour we had during our two weeks in Paris. Highly recommend Julien to anyone visiting the Louvre!The Best Tour of Our Paris Trip!

While I like museums and the stories that art tells us through the millennia, I am no art history major and don’t know a lot. I just like learning. I usually don’t like tours. I’ve been on a few and have been very annoyed and disappointed— Until this experience. Julien had a strategy that met our goals. He was able to read us very quickly and understand how to tailor our tour with questions that made us think and build upon what we knew and don’t know. He was not pretentious yet incredibly knowledgeable, wise, and a seasoned Louvre fan! I learned about him via a friend who I trust. I, otherwise, would never have hired a private tour guide, or have joined any tour. You get what you pay for. It was AMAZING! I left with a new lense through which to view art and enjoy the museum experience without being an art history major. Hire him for your memorable Louvre experience! 🤔 I wonder if he goes to the Prado..Does the rating go to 12?

Julien was amazing! We asked Julien to gear our tour to our 2 grandchildren who are 10 and 8. From the moment we met Julien he focused on what would be of interest to them. Julien was engaging, fun, a wonderful listener, respectful of everyone’s questions and interests. The 4 adults in the group equally enjoyed the tour. Julien was able to bring alive what we were seeing. This tour was a highlight of our week in Paris. Thank you! The Louvre and Notre Dame with children

It was so wonderful to have Julien show us around the Louvre! Even though it was only a 2 hour tour, we saw so much and he knows so much about the Louvre. He is very personable. It was well worth the money!Fantastic tour with Julien!

I have used Withlocals in many countries over the last 6 years. We have always had amazing guides but Julien was exceptional! My husband and my aunt both needed wheelchairs for our tour through the Louvre in Paris. Julien was very cognizant of their needs to the extent that he would kneel to get down to their eye level and speak about a specific work of art. Not only was he knowledgeable but he was really passionate about the works of art. My family learned so much! Julien was so flexible and adaptable to our group’s unique needs. We had a large enough group that we required two guides, so he and another guide (Emilie) paired up to take our two groups through an amazing Louvre experience. Julien’s enthusiasm for the art was contagious. He brought context and purpose to each piece, engaging our 3 teenagers to a genuine interest and appreciation. Julien’s knowledge went beyond the art, to the Louvre and French and Roman history.Enthusiastic and engaging!

Julien was a wonderful guide through the Louvre for three adults and two kids - age 9 and 7 - who had never been. He took what would have been an incredibly overwhelming experience - as we only had 2-3 hours, and we were there at a very busy time period- and kept us on track to hit some famous highlights in that short window of time. He was a wealth of knowledge throughout, providing detailed history and interesting stories that entertained the kids and the adults. He also made a lot of effort to continually engage the kids - mixing in some fun games for them, asking them questions, and piquing their curiosity by tying stories to their interests. We booked Julien through a referral from a friend and this was easily one of the best things we did on our honeymoon. Julien was amazing. He made the Louvre feel personal, approachable, and honestly kind of magical. I’m not an art expert by any stretch, but he made everything feel interesting and easy to understand. The way he told the stories behind the paintings and sculptures really brought them to life. We didn’t have a direction or focus we wanted and entrusted our experience to him. He also picked up on the fact that we were on our honeymoon and added these thoughtful touches throughout the tour. He pointed out romantic pieces, shared cool little hidden spots, and just made the whole experience feel tailored to us. It didn’t feel like a tour, it felt like walking through the museum with a super knowledgeable friend who really cared about making it memorable for us. We walked away feeling inspired, grateful, and so glad we booked it. I could not recommend him enough. We loved our tour of the Louvre with Julien. He is extremely passionate about Paris, and art, and you could easily feel that in the way he talks about the paintings. Our family listened to every word he has told us, and wished we had more time to go through the museum. Great tour!
