Julio César

I was born and raised in Medellin, the city of eternal spring. I moved to Madrid after finishing my media and journalism studies and almost immediately fell in love with it. Its incredible cultural mixture and mild weather have both captivated and encouraged me to settle down.

I love expressing myself through dance, especially afro-latin rhythms, which I combine with my other passion: Dj'ing. Through this, I can keep in contact with my roots, while sharing it with the world.

When we started the tour, Julio asked us what we would like to see. We specifically said that we wanted to get to know more about neighborhoods and interesting stories about Madrid , or locals perspective, but that we don’t like a lot of history. Well although where we rode was pretty, and it was a nice ride, all we heard at each stop was history. We were therefore disappointed.Wasnt what we expected…lots of history

We had an incredible experience touring Madrid with Julio Cesar! He was knowledgeable, kind, and had a great way of connecting with both of our kids (ages 6 and 13), keeping them engaged and curious the entire time. Julio showed us places and shared insights we never would have discovered on our own. It truly felt like exploring the city with a friend who loves Madrid and wants you to love it too. I did 3 days of photo workshops with Julio - and I wish I could have done more. Julio arrived prepared with suggested itineraries for each session, including different locations and lighting scenarios as well as composition and technical exercises. He had reviewed my photography in advance to ensure the workshop would help me refine and improve my skills. His enthusiasm for photography, for the city of Madrid and even helping me practice Spanish made our 3 days fly by. His workshop also feels like a cultural and historical tour of Madrid as he familiarized me with this beautiful, lively city. It was such a pleasure spending time with him. Julio gave us a wonderful tour around Madrid. He is a great guide - knowledgeable, entertaining and resourceful. Julio has so much information about history, cultural and everyday life of Madrid but he managed to keep it entertaining with the right amount of facts and dates. Julio ticks all the boxes for a good and friendly guide. He is extremely passionate and enjoys his work. He was patient and spend time to give us an overview of the neighbourhood of Madrid. Then he walked us through the Madrid old town and explained to us the significance of each Madrid attraction. I highly recommend Julio.
