I enjoy traveling and making friends from all over the world.I've been to Turkey to pick hazelnuts, and Romania to witness historic convents with my Turkish and Romanian friends. And my friends in Inner Mongolia showed me awesome yurts. Their hospitality made my trips comfortable and unforgettable Besides, I also appreciate the new friends I made on the way. Whether they are fellow travelers on the train or locals sharing a laugh at a cafe, these unexpected but sweet friendship make each trip so unique. I sometimes can't help but think we must be connected in our last lives.
As someone deeply rooted in this community, I've had the pleasure of befriending many of the shop owners and residents. I hope you have the opportunity to meet some of the kind and interesting people who make this neighborhood so special, and of course, to savor the delicious local cuisine.

We couldn't have had a better start for our trip to Taiwan. June is the perfect host, we learned not only so much about food and its origins but also about the families who prepare and sell it. It was like spending time with friends. On ne savait pas réellement à quoi s'attendre et nous avons tous était conquis ! June nous a proposé une petite visite guidée culinaire, accompagnée d'explications sur l'histoire de Taïwan. Ce fut très intéressant ! Nous le conseillons fortement à ceux qui souhaite découvrir la véritable culture culinaire de Taïwan.

The food tour with June was exceptional. June's knowledge about the history and culture is extensive. We learned so much about Taiwan and the neighboring countries as we worked our way through numerous stops for local tasty food.
We highly recommend using withlocals and picking June. Fantastic experience!Great food and a great guide.

Our tour guide was June and we loved her. She was informative, enthusiastic and engaging. She took us to 8 stops for delicious food that was local and diverse without being the most common Taiwanese options that we'd already been exposed to. Plus, she's from the neighborhood and was able to share lots of information about its past and present and take us to non-food stops also. She was willing to answer all our questions. We highly recommend this tour. More than 10 hearts!

We had the best afternoon on our food tour with June! She kept us laughing and learning the whole time. I appreciated how she was able to answer so many of our questions about a broad range of subjects. She really watched out for us, accommodating our special dietary needs and the surprises in the weather. We showed up without rain gear because the weather forecast showed a 0% chance of rain, but then found ourselves in a large thunderstorm. June borrowed umbrellas from her friends in the neighborhood to keep us dry! And she also adjusted plans to keep us indoors drinking tea and enjoying her stories until the lightning stopped. Take a food tour with June, and you’ll get some amazing food, but also learn so much about the history and culture of Taiwan.

Totally enjoyed our evening with June. More than just sharing her knowledge of food (& tea), she shared her knowledge of Taiwan’s history. I enjoyed that as much as the flavors she shared with us..
June is also truly a “with local”, several of the places had long lines of customers, June knew the owners and we were served immediately.
Perfect ending to the night was a shaved ice with multiple toppings. Yumm.

We booked an evening food tour in Taipei to keep us awake after a long flight from the UK
We communicated with June about the meet and she was responsive and very helpful.
Charismatic, knowledgeable and very energetic she communicated her love for Taiwan and Taipei with great enthusiasm. Her narrative was interesting and informative and we came away better and wiser.

June was a fantastic guide. We didn’t get to eat the food usually highlighted in Taiwan (like beef noodle soup), but I appreciate her approach because we were able to try food from places that tourists would not think to visit - like a morning wet market.
She was also attuned to our needs and was very helpful in giving recommendations. Enjoyed this tour and would highly recommend. Good tour
