Lee

Born in Moscow and raised partly there and partly in Munich, I developed an early fascination for the contrasts between cultures, historical perspectives, and political and social systems.

My background is in social psychology, so I focus on the interactions between history, the present, the environment, and the individual.

I have lived in Berlin since 2004 and was involved in event management for the city's diverse subcultures from an early age. Berlin's alternative side is still one of my many homes.

I love exploring Berlin's history in the context of changing eras and discovering the city's hidden treasures.

After several stays abroad (including in West Africa, Marseille, Poland and Barcelona), I seized the opportunity to lead tours through Scandinavia, Poland, and the Benelux countries. I completed training as a certified study tour guide at the Vienna Tour Guide Academy.

Lee was very knowledgable and generous with his time. We took the kick start tour and off-the-beaten-track. Lee was happy to tailor things to our requests and introduced us to many ideas and sights we would otherwise have missed. It was a very short visit for us and we definitely got a lot more from the trip because of Lee’s input. It was also my first time in Germany and he kindly helped me work out a few valuable travel logistics for our trip which I really appreciated.

Despite the chilling cold of Berlin in the early spring, Lee managed to give me and my coworkers a fantastic and enlightening guided tour of some lesser known areas of Berlin, + the wall. I learned a lot and got to see and learn about some very interesting places and the history of them. Informative and fun alternative tour

I recommend this guiding tour to anyone interested in Berlin´s architecture, art, culture and history. We learned a lot. Our guide had a plenty of knowledge and he conveyed in an educational and pleasant way. We really enjoyed this city tour.Educational and enjoyable city tour

It was great to see and hear about parts of Berlin we wouldn't normally have experienced on a big tour. Lee was interesting and informative and was happy to answer our questions. He gave us a chance to taste a good selection of food including vegan donuts, Vietnamese spring rolls, currywurst and apple strudel. Thank you Lee! Interesting and personal

Lee was excellent in introducing us to some of the main aspects of the modern history or Berlin. A really friendly and engaging style using historical photos to compare what we saw on the tour with pre the wall coming down. Our first time in Berlin and we were keen to spend sometime with a local to get an overview of Berlin and some thoughts of things to do / see, Lee was really informative, our only regret was we hadn’t booked a longer tour.
