After spending some time living abroad, meeting a lot of people from all around the world and sharing cultural experiences with them I just came back to my hometown.

Showing my city to the people I've met during my time abroad is what I love , important places were historical things happened in the past, masterpieces of the culture but also hidden places only locals know or stories that belong to the oral tradition of the country.

I'm a licensed teacher at a local community college where we study economics, international trade and relations.

Lluis was an excellent guide and true local as he was born Catalan from Barcelona. We enjoyed highly dynamic conversations about current events in the world and how it impacted Spain. He showed us wonderful neighborhoods and delectable local cuisine. It was a wonderful experience and he was quite charming and engaging.Exceptional Experience

We feel so fortunate to have been able to visit Barcelona with Lluis. He is so knowledgeable and passionate about his city. It was easy to meet with him and Lluis could not have been more accommodating. He is also intuitive and could tell that I was stressing about being on time for our tickets to the Sagrada Familia. He caught a taxi with us and “delivered” us to the proper spot. This was so kind. We were delighted to share lunch with Lluis and only wish we had had more time together. When travelling with my parents and son, we were interested in learning about Barcelona in an enjoyable way. Louis was kind and considerate of the age of my parents as we walked around and covered a good amount of area yet in a comfortable pace. He knew so many things, special details about Barcelona, old town and gave us many facts that we could not have learned on our own. My son is 15 and he enjoyed the tour as well. Lluis made the tour so interesting with his vast knowledge and good humour. We had many laughs along the way as he showed us the sights. Our time with him was good value. I confidently recommend Lluis as your guide. You will be very pleased. A fun and informative afternoon with Lluis

My husband and I went on a Barcelona city walking tour with Lluis. He said we could personalize our tour, but since it was our first time and our first day in Barcelona we didn’t have enough knowledge of the city to know which sites to see first. He didn’t have a plan and seemed hesitant to propose a plan - but we insisted so he finally did. At most of the sites we visited he provided some history, but as mentioned by another reviewer in July, it all seemed focused on the oppression of Catalonia at the hands of the central government. Sometimes the history was very relevant, but this theme and his political views kept coming up over and over again. While we are very sympathetic to the horrible treatment of the Catalan people historically, his negative attitude and unplanned approach to this tour made it a poor experience for us. We would not recommend Lluis if you are looking for an unbiased view of the history and important sites of Barcelona. City Walking Tour with Lluis

We booked Lluis for a city tour. He was a few minutes late to meet us, which was not a big deal. He was eager to tell us we could personalize our tour, but we did not have enough knowledge of the city to have much of an opinion. We did want to get some history and architecture, but he told us that much of the architecture was too far to walk to. At most of the stops there was some history, but it all seemed focused on the oppression of Catalonia at the hands of the central government. At times that was actually relevant, but often it just felt like complaining. For example, he took us to Plaça Reial which is lovely. And then told us that it was built as a gift from the Spanish government, but everyone in Barcelona hates it because it was built in the style of a Madrid plaza. To his credit, his historical background for The Palau de la Música Catalana was superb. I would highly recommend visiting that with him. Friendly and knowledgable, but not great

Seeing Barcelona through Luis's eyes was such a treat. His passionate and opinionated perspective allowed us to experience the city in an authentic way. Lluis's sharp intellect and depth of knowledge prompted us to engage in interesting debate and conversation; as a result we learned so much about Catalan history and culture. Lluis was excellent! He was very pleasant and we were able to talk about his daily life in Barcelona. I find this one of the best experiences of a guide Withlocals. He knew his environment and gave us a wonderful experience for two different tours. I would highly recommend Lluis! Great local experience
