As a local born and raised, I am what you might call a "tripeiro" by heart. I have visited several cities and a couple of different countries... but this city is truly unique and keeps calling me back! Hopefully once you come and see for yourself, I can show you exactly why it's so special. I have experience as a tour guide, a love of history, and a penchant for terrible jokes, so get ready to learn why I have to explain that I have no affiliation with the Luiz I bridge!

Jose provided a great review of old Porto and the history and a tasty of the local area. It was great to visit the store providing many flavours of infused olive oil on ice cream, a truely unique experience. Additionally visiting the store selling tubes of jams and pates was a delight. I recently experienced a guided tour of Porto with Jose Luis, and I highly recommend it! The tour was a delight, filled with fascinating insights, local charm, and his palpable passion for this beautiful city. Jose Luis is an exceptional storyteller. His impressive knowledge of Porto's history, architecture, and culture shines through engaging narratives. He brought the city, and Portugal itself, to life with anecdotes, including some of his own family history. His genuine love for Porto was infectious. We explored iconic spots but Jose Luis also revealed hidden gems. He perfectly balanced popular attractions with authentic local experiences. His food and drink recommendations were excellent – we enjoyed delicious pastéis de nata and fantastic Port wine thanks to him. Beyond his knowledge, Jose Luis's warm personality and humor made the tour incredibly enjoyable. He was attentive, answered questions readily, and ensured a comfortable pace. It felt like a leisurely stroll with a knowledgeable and charming local friend. If planning a trip to Porto, book a tour with Jose Luis to truly immerse yourself in its magic. Jose is an excellent ambassador for his beloved city! He shared lots of wise and unique insights into the rich history and culture of Porto and Portugal—All with great humor and fun! He graciously took consideration for our age and paced accordingly! He made terrific suggestions on restaurants and other out-of-way sights and by the end of the tour we felt like family! We highly recommend Jose Luis for an unforgettable day! A Fabulous, Fun Guy!

Luis was a fantastic guide. His knowledge of Porto was second to none. He obviously loves the city he's from and that shines through his warm personality. Heel blij met Jose Luis, We kwamen heel vroeg aan in Porto en hadden eigenlijk 16.00 u afgesproken, na kort berichtje was hij heel flexibel en kwam ons op vroegere tijd bij ons hotel ophalen ( hotel ligt erg cerntraal). Vol verhalen en veel geschiedenis weetjes loodste hij ons door de stad. Droge humor en heel ontspannen. We werden er heel enthousiast van om zelf de stad verder te gaan ontdekken. Een hele lijst met "must do's en eat" kregen we nog achteraf. Top zo op onze eerste dag in Porto!

Luis was a tour guide tour guide. So knowledgeable, personable and fantastic with his historical dates and events. Added to this was his dry sense of humour and wonnerful command of English from anecdotes to slang. Highest recommendation.Great Tour Guide

Jose Luis gave the four of us a very informative, interesting and enjoyable three hour walking tour of the important sights of Porto. We were very impressed with his knowledge of the history of the various sights, which he was able to embellish with personal anecdotes. Jose Luis was courteous with a good sense of humour and was happy to give us tips on good places to eat. Overall, we had a fantastic experience.
