As a culinary and culture curator, my passion extends beyond food to culture, heritage, and history: elements that naturally come alive through the dishes we taste. My food walks aren’t just about eating; they’re about the stories, traditions, and people behind each bite. They are real, unpolished, and unapologetically delicious.

You can book a 10 Tastings experience or reach out to me for a curated 5 tastings food walk that includes visits to a Taoist and Hindu temple.

You are curious about food beyond the plate. You appreciate the stories that shape a dish, the hands that prepare it, and the traditions that keep it alive. You want to taste, learn, and connect.

When I’m not out discovering food, you’ll likely find me wandering through bookshops and libraries. Or peering at temple carvings, trying to decipher stories hidden in their symbols. Volunteering at the National Museum. Sometimes, I’m writing about Bygone Days of KL on my blog; other times, I’m curating food listicles to share with my guests, because who doesn’t love a good list?

I interviewed many guides before finding Manjeet who I chose because 1) she seemed the most knowledgeable about food, history and culture (she’s a KL local!) and 2) she was open and supportive of me customizing my Malaysian tour experience so that my family and I got to see everything on our “must see” list in a short period of time. Manjeet is so kind and accommodating and was able to drive us around in her own very nice air conditioned car which was very comfortable and made our trip so convenient. She also taught my kids how to use the public transportation which was another fun experience. The best part is she was so kind to my children and even (out of her own expense) bought them gifts of Malaysian educational books which my daughters loved! Everywhere she took us we ate the most delicious food and learned so much. Manjeet is the kindest person and truly cares about giving her customers the best experience ever! Book her without hesitation she’s wonderful!Best of the best! Manjeet is wonderful!

We had a wonderful morning with Manjeet. She introduced us to Kuala Lumpur in a very cheerful way. Manjeet took us to the most interesting places and gave us so many tips at the end of the tour that we didn't have to be bored the next day.A wonderful morning in Kuala Lumpur.

Manjeet was lovely, she picked us up and guided through sone very interesting sites of KL, explaining about history and culture. She spoke slowly so my mother who doesn’t speak English very well could follow. We were very satisfied and learned many things, we totally recommend.We had a great time

It was a pleasure to mee Manjeet, and she is such a knowlegable guide! Gave great insight into the histories of the cultures that comprise today's KL. I must admit I mostly signed up because of the food element of the tour, and that did not disappoint, but I was surprised and delighted to get such a clear explanation of the temples we visited. It was most interesting to end the tour at Independance Square which is a such a great contrast to the previous parts of the tour. Great introduction to KL

Manjeet exhibited a high level of professionalism, and we gained valuable insights into the food and culture of Kuala Lumpur. The tastings were thoughtfully organised, and we appreciated the multicultural nature of both the city and its cuisine. Ten tastings left us satisfied, so no dinner was necessary after the tour. Manjeet is knowledgeable, helpful, and fun to be around. She explained the different foods and different restaurant types. She summarized local history to explain why there is such culinary diversity. She patiently answered all our questions about KL, many of which had nothing to do with food. Knowing we were going on to Melaka, Manjeet even sent us a Google Maps guide to restaurants and sites to see there. We will definitely follow her recommendations! Excellent tour!
