Marianissa made a great effort to change her schedule to meet ours- our mistake, not hers. Totally accommodated us at last minute. She was full of energy and information- and she picked great food spots! We’d highly recommend her and this tour!Marianissa Rocks!

Marianissa was the best part of visiting Madrid!
So lively, open and ready to share the best places to eat. She shared wonderful stories and gave a diverse cross section of places to enjoy the treats of Madrid. She even helped us connect with a way to get back to the airport!
I would book food tours with her just for the opportunity to meet up again!Wonderful Host, delightful!

Our group had a highly enjoyable experience with Marianissa's tour. She led us to several outstanding food establishments that we would not have found as tourists.
We were so impressed by some of these locations that we revisited them a few days after the tour. During our walk, she imparted historical knowledge and provided recommendations on what attractions and activities to pursue during our stay in Madrid.

There’s much to be said of expectations. Since we were in Madrid, ours were high. How disappointed we were
We were expecting off-the-beaten track food places what we got was the tourist food market. What we expected was some history and background to the different tapas, what we got was nothing at all. Not even that Spain has a long coastline rich in anchovies! Or that
acorn-fed pigs produce the world famous Iberico hams. And lastly what we expected was some history and anecdotes of the areas we walked through the streets. What we got was a somewhat mute guide who commented only that Barquillo was gentrified only in the last 7 years. Fortunately ChatGPT was our friend and we located Spain’s first skyscraper ( Edificio Telefonica) and learned that the new Four Seasons was formerly the chairman’s office of Banco Santander.
I will accept our group had some particular eating habits but this is an eating tour so one assumes that’s a routine obstacle to overcome. So I’m afraid she gets a one star, in the ongoing battle that is Woman/Man vs ChatGPT, Marianna’s performance scores one for the machines.Avoid.

Maria is a fun and energetic guide which my family which includes 12 and 10 year old girls love so much. She understands that my girls couldn’t drink alcohol and would add an orange juice stop for them. My family and I really enjoyed the history and background of Spanish tapas. It was a great 3 hour well spent with her. Would highly recommend!!!! food tour with Maria!
