Since we were little boys our mothers have complained about our wild streaks, bruised knees, small cuts and a broken arm or two are, after all, part of the fun. This naturally evolved into a fascination for vintage jeeps and everything that would let us explore Sintra as fun as possible. Amazed by this mystical place and the hidden secrets of the mountains that surround it, we decided to explore and learn about this region as much as we could in order to become one of the most knowledgeable experts in town. Our fascination for classic cars led us to completely restore a very special model: the UMM. Today we're lucky to say that our job is to share with other people the very best this region has to offer . This experience is not recommended for people with reduced mobility, back problems, pregnant women or kids under 12 years old.

Wir hatten einen tollen Tag mit Mario! Nach der Zugfahrt von Lissabon nach Sintra (Portela de Sintra!) sind wir (4 Erwachsene, 2 Teenager) in unseren Jeep gestiegen. Mario hat einen wunderbaren Job gemacht. Mit viel Hintergrundwissen hat er uns “seine” Stadt gezeigt und dafür gesorgt, dass wir bestens unterhalten waren. Statt bei der Quinta de Regaleira waren wir in Monserrate - eine gute Entscheidung! Nach einem Mittagessen (wirklich hervorragend!) sind wir zum Strand gefahren und dann über Nebenstraßen zu einem Aussichtspunkt, wo man den westlichsten Punkt Europas im Blick hat - nur ohne die Touristen-Massen.
Alles in allem - verdiente 10 von 10 Sternen! Danke, Super Mario!Jeep-Abenteuer in Sintra

Wij hebben een mooie, leuke dag gehad met de vriendelijke gidsen Bruno en André. Ze hebben ons prachtige plekken in Sintra laten zien. Het off road rijden was fantastisch.

This tour was by far our favorite out of the many tours we did throughout our 10 day trip. Our guides were both informative and fun, the perfect mix for a day trip. It was obvious they love what they do and have taken the time to put together a thoughtful itinerary for their guests. The scenery was breathtaking and we spent just enough time at each stop before moving on to the next. Do not hesitate to book this tour, you will not regret it. My favorite tour

10/10 Highly Recommend – Sintra with Mario was Unforgettable!
If you’re even thinking about doing a tour of Sintra, do yourself a favor and book it with Mario. From the very start, it felt less like a typical guided tour and more like exploring with a good friend who just happens to know every hidden gem, every shortcut, and everyone in town.
He took us to places we never would’ve found on our own—quiet lookouts, tucked-away spots with unbelievable views, and local joints where he greeted the staff like family. The food? Incredible. Think authentic Portuguese cuisine you’d miss without insider tips, and Mario made sure we felt like locals every step of the way.
He drove us around in this super cool jeep that adds a bit of adventure to the ride (fair warning—no seatbelts, so you will feel like a teenager again!). But that’s all part of the adventure. It was the perfect mix of excitement, beauty, and real connection to Sintra.
Hands down one of the best days we’ve had on this vacation. Can’t recommend Mario and his buddies enough!Hire the cool locals!

We had an amazing full day tour with Bruno. The Monserrat Palace and beautiful views off the beaten path were perfect. The lunch spot was also amazing!An amazing day with Bruno!

We had an incredible personalized Jeep tour of Sintra with Bruno — truly a highlight of our trip! Despite some gloomy weather in the first half of the day, Bruno came prepared with blankets and umbrellas, making sure we were comfortable and still having fun. He kept our two tween daughters engaged the entire time with his energy, humor, and fun facts — a rare and much-appreciated skill!
Bruno struck the perfect balance with his commentary, giving us just enough history and architectural insight to keep things interesting without it ever feeling overwhelming. His choice of music added to the vibe and made the drive between stops even more enjoyable.
One of the biggest highlights was lunch at a true local gem — cozy and authentic, with a delicious soup to warm us up and two more outstanding courses that left us full and happy.
From start to finish, Bruno delivered a thoughtful, fun, and well-paced day that worked perfectly for our family. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to experience Sintra beyond the usual!

Mario was a great driver, fun, kind, & a good sport to put up with our crazy humor! Our group of 4 (late 50s) group really enjoyed the Jeep, tour, ocean views & conversations with Mario. Lunch was a 10 too! Even with road closures…Mario figured it out. Favorite tour guide

The highlight of our trip to Lisbon was our day trip to Sintra! It is a magical place and our guide João was amazing! The tour to the Palácio das Regaleiras was so unique! The lunch in Sintra and then the trip to the beaches, everything just stunning! Highly highly recommend! A magical day in Sintra

We did a Sintra Jeep tour with Ruben and had an absolutely fabulous day. This was possibly my favorite day of our entire vacation. We loved the combination of experiences that made the day filled to the brim with history, spectacular food, stunning views, and a fun Jeep experience. Ruben was a truly wonderful guide- incredibly knowledgeable about the history, vegetation, and life in this part of Portugal. He struck a perfect balance of casual and laid back yet professional and informative. The lunch was one of our favorite meals of the entire trip as well. We would recommend this tour to anyone and would request Ruben for an extra great day! Our favorite day of our trip!
