Hi there! I'm Marisa, originally from Spain and living in Lisbon for 11 years. Since I first came here I fell in love with the city, and started working as a guide since then for different Tourism agencies. I have a degree in Art History and I'm also an absolute passionate of music, street art, dancing and all types of culture in general. During our tours we will not only learn about Lisbon's history, but we'll also focus on the influence of music and street art in this city, getting off-the-beaten-tracks to visit charming spots where rarely visitors get, enjoying a Fado performance, some African music concert in a small tavern or just discovering stunning hidden old palaces interiors. I LOVE music, really! and I´m a big enthusiast of music venues, so don't hesitate to ask me about recommendations about listening good live music in the city, such as Cape Verde, Brazilian or Angola rythms, Fado small and hidden places, jazz music clubs or Latin American vibes :) And also, we will approach to the real locals life by visiting their neighborhoods and, why not, tasting a drink and enjoying the vibrant athmosphere of the local life in Lisbon.

Marisa was an exceptional host who clearly loves her city. We really enjoyed a wonderful tour of many of the various neighborhoods in Lisbon with Marisa. She patiently answered all our questions. She was, gracious, very informative and full of stories. When we realized we did not have change to enter a restroom, she was so kind as to offer us some to visit the restroom. Incredibly kind and thoughtful. We highly recommend her.Great introduction to Lisbon!

We had an incredible 3 hour tour throughout the city of Lisbon with Marisa. Marisa provided a fabulous informative tour which kept myself and family with two teenagers engaged and interested the entire time. We recommend Marisa and this tour! Thank you Brilliant tour

Marisa was an absolutely fantastic guide! We were a group of four adults and three kids (ages 10–12), and I had asked her to tailor the tour so the kids could really engage with the history and culture of Portugal. She did exactly that — the kids loved her! Marisa was incredibly friendly, patient, and answered what must have been a million questions with enthusiasm. Beyond the tour, she generously reviewed my Lisbon itinerary and gave thoughtful suggestions on what to skip and what to prioritize — and her recommendations were spot on. She brings such warm, positive energy and deep knowledge, and we truly learned so much in a short amount of time. Marisa was phenomenal! She was both incredibly personable and friendly, but also so knowledgable about both the city and its offerings. She not only taught us so much about Lisbon and its neighbourhoods, but provided a list of her personal recommendations for restaurants and Fado places well ahead of our trip, making it easier than ever to plan. She’s amazing, and her tours are worth every penny!Fantastic Experience!

Marisa was friendly and had so much knowledge of Lisbon. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with Marisa. Marias was fun and accommodating. She even helped us make dinner reservations at one of her recommended restaurants. We highly recommend Marisa for your trip to Lisbon. Fabulous Guide

Having been allocated two guides , Marisa was finally allocated to us. I must say we could not have had a better guide than the wonderful Marisa who quickly became our friend! We gave one or two hints of what we were interested in and left the rest to her.She showed us all the sights we had been looking for and more. She even had an uncanny knack of producing trams just when we wanted them. Her recommendation for restaurants was first class and we had a great meal that night. If you are in Lisbon and looking for a wonderful guide, look no further than Marisa . You won’t be disappointed !!Out perfect tour with Marisa

We waren erg onder de indruk van Marisa. Ze nam ons mee door Lissabon en vertelde er heel prettig over. We zijn weer een stuk wijzer dankzij Marisa. Our guide Marisa provided exactly what we had hoped for. She gave us an overview of the layout and history of the city of Lisbon, taking us to multiple neighborhoods, including some of the oldest parts. She spoke knowledgeably about city history and current culture, even making sure we stopped to watch nattas being made—-and of course we sampled them too! I strongly recommend Marisa — She was patient with our group of four while we stopped and took pictures, dashed into shops, and asked many questions. Many thanks to her! Delightful overview of Lisbon!

This was our first experience using With Locals and likely the best tour we have ever had anywhere. Marisa was a fabulous guide with rich knowledge of Lisbons culture and history and by the end of the day we wanted to adopt her. She was really fun to be with and the pace of the tour was just right stopping at great photo ops. We were only disappointed that the tour ended after 3 hours as we would have loved to spend the whole day with her. If you are like me, reading the bios of the different guides, don’t bother as it doesn’t get any better than a 3 hour walk around Lisbon with Marisa. Jeffrey A wonderful day in Lisbon
