Mattia held our attention for 3 hours on the Highlights & Hidden Gems of Venice tour. Born, raised, educated in Venice, not only is he very knowledgeable about the history of his home archipelago and the engineering it took to build and maintain its amazing structures for hundreds of years, he is a savvy communicator who is able to entertain while expounding on the current social fabric of its locals. He's a sports enthusiast and an expert skier, making him easily relatable to my Colorado family. To be honest, I was skeptical that my young adult sons would find the tour interesting, but Mattia speaks so energetically about every topic, keeping them fascinated about facts regarding both historical and current everyday living during the entire tour. He showed us the local hospital, the ambulance boats, even the garbage collection boats at work - elements of the current day canal living infrastructure that you didn't think you needed to know. Truly he is the hidden gem of Venice! Do not hesitate to book Mattia for your tour.Informative, entertaining, fun!

We thoroughly enjoyed a very interesting walking tour around Venice with Mattia, hitting the highlights then off the beaten track. He was great fun and very knowledgeable, walking at a relaxed pace with full commentary. We particularly enjoyed his local insights into Venetian & Italian culture, and knowledge of history and architecture. Mattia is so enthusiastic and entertaining, answering all our legit and dumb questions without making you feel bad. Great communications throughout the booking to the actual tour process. I had asked Mattia to tailor make a tour for me in a very small and specific circumference of Venice, a bit off the beaten track and he turned it into a very interesting, informative, fund and upbeat tour. We ended up at the fantastic All'Arco for a quick apero. Very good! Mattia is a great guide - knowledgeable!

We had the absolute pleasure of touring Venice with Mattia as our guide, and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip. We done a lot of group tours we decided to try private tour with Mattia, he was top notch. We have a daughter with Autism so we move at slow pace. Mattia curated our tour to her pace. Mattia has lots of knowledge and is easy to talk to. I would highly recommend Mattia and the hidden gem tour. pick this guy

Mattia was a great guide for our family of five, with kids ages 10-15. His style is energetic and entertaining. Our kids (and we adults) really liked Mattia's jokes and humor. Mattia has a wealth of historical knowledge, and makes the art and history come alive for kids and teenagers, which is not always easy. He timed our tour as we wished, to encompass an intro of Piazza San Marco, the Basilica (with spontaneous second floor add on) and the Doge's palace. Don't worry if there's not a lot of communication before your tour - booking Mattia is worth it!Energetic, engaging and entertaining
