"I've been using food as a pleasure, as a health tool, as a business and as a family tradition for many years.

I was born in Athens , and at the age of 18, I was sent to London for further education...I lived , study, work there for 8 years...on my return home I worked for Weight Watchers Greece, being the operations managing director for 9 years ..

My family is originally from minor Asia and Italy-Greece (12 islands - Rhodes -Symi) and this gave me plenty of knowledge and influence for my cooking.

I like to create light recipes and balanced meals as a daily menu for my family and friends.

I have been on, Greek private television for several years, giving daily tips for healthy cooking.

I m the writer of a Greek cook book title :"" Melinas recipes""

I love good quality products and I use lots of local herbs and spices, hand picked from the island of Symi and the Attica mountains. I'm a specialist for gourmet vegetarian dishes, cooked with local organic products.

I'd love to give you a taste of the unique Greek hospitality and share with you stories about the origin of Greek cuisine recipes.

We had such a great time with Melina! She was warm and welcoming, making this experience feel like cooking with a friend. Not only did we learn how to cook three items, we were also able to hear some history and stories behind the products we were using. We even got to take the leftovers home to enjoy later that evening! (She also sent some Greek yogurt to use as a remedy for my sunburn!) We had so much fun and would recommend booking a cooking adventure with Melina to anyone visiting Athens. Thanks Melina!So much fun!

This was a good class. You learn the ancient spinach pie, cheese twist, and a dessert. I also had some delicious cherry juice and a different kind of lemonade. I would definitely recommend this class. I plan to take another class with Melina in the future. Pretty good class in Athens

I visited Melina in her home to have a private cooking lesson and it was incredibly authentic and personal. We made 3 different Ancient Greek recipes. Melina is now someone I can call a friend. If you like to experience the local culture while traveling through cooking, then book this experience!Authentic Cooking Experience in Athens!

Melina was the best! She helped us plan a vegetarian menu and a birthday surprise well ahead of time. Her communication is great. We got a little turned around on the address and she was right there to help. This evening was like being welcomed into a Greek home. We will definitely be doing this experience again when we return to Athens. Make sure you are hungry because you you are in for a big feast.A great night of cooking!

Melina was very communicative leading up to the cooking class. She gave us options for dishes to make and made sure we had all the information to get to her location. We enjoyed learning about her background and Greek cooking. In selecting dishes for us to consider, she accommodated a participant who had celiac disease and one who had a red meat allergy. She made sure that the dishes were safe for the whole group. We have nothing but great things to say about Melina! Great fun!

Melina was kind, funny and patien with us and made this the perfect evening. It was our first cooking class ever. As vegetarians we’re always a bit hesitant to book food related things, but Melina gave us great options (we later learned, she even has a degree in vegan nutrition). She was also giving us restaurant tips and was all in all just perfect. Pro tip: do not eat lunch before this class 😂.A great night, with the perfect teacher

Melina and I discussed the menu that we would like to cook even we booked this experience. Melina is passionate about cooking ( you can find her on utube ) and her knowledge and experience shines through. My son and I are used to coking from scratch, but it was so good to learn how to improve. I have already incorporated her tips into my cooking, and what a difference. It was definitely best experience of our trip to Greece! Melina is so warm, kind and giving and has the energy that makes you feel like you’re at home from the get-go! We did the Greek cooking class with Melina and had such a great time! She worked with us to find a time that worked for us, changing our time when our travel plans changed out of our control.
