From the moment we met Melwyn it was clear this was going to be a memorable experience. The tour took us through the historic Al Fahidi neighborhood, where we wandered through beautifully preserved wind towers, narrow lanes, and traditional courtyard houses. It felt like stepping back in time. The Melwyn shared fascinating stories about Dubai’s transformation from a quiet fishing village to the global metropolis it is today. A highlight was crossing the Dubai Creek on an abra (traditional boat) to explore the vibrant spice and gold souks. The scents, colors, and energy of the markets were incredible I’d highly recommend this walking tour to anyone visiting Dubai. It’s a perfect way to see the city’s soul beyond the skyscrapers. Wear comfortable shoes, bring water, and be ready to discover a side of Dubai you might otherwise miss.Fascinating tour of the old town

Melwyn was knowledgeable and used our flight layover time well- introducing us to both old and new Dubai. He found us local refreshments and helped us navigate the old city and souks . Then he gave us a “night tour” of the city and lights and palaces and “must see” spots before getting us back to our destination. Very grateful - he turned our time that would have been spent hanging around the airport into a wonderful cultural experience Dubai flight stopover

Melwyn was a fantastic guide, so full of knowledge and insights throughout our tour with him. The Al Fahidi district is a must-see when visiting Dubai, and with a well-informed guide like Melwyn, it becomes accessible and so much more than its alleyways and souks. The only downside for us was that Melwyn was very late, we had to ring him to find out where he was. We had booked the tour the previous day online but he hadn’t checked his emails! Despite this, we would confidently recommend Melwyn - with perhaps a suggestion that you message or ring to confirm if booking at short notice.Fabulous insight into Dubai’s story

I am a solo traveller and I spent half a day with Melwyn walking through the traditional Highlights of the old city & my experience was fascinating and delightful. Melwyn is so profoundly knowledgeable about Dubai's city and UAE’s history, and he is passionate about sharing this information with great enthusiasm. We booked a tour with Melwyn and was really impressed. His knowledge of Dubai was excellent and was a really lovely person. Melwyn really took the time to explain about Dubai and its history and we learnt a lot. There's a lot more to Dubai than the hotels and beaches. I had a long layover and Melwyn really helped me make good use of the time. He also paced the whole tour well so i wasn't exhausted for my onward journey . He is very knowledgeable and shared very intriguing local details of the city. He was very open to customizing the tour to fit my budget, time and interest. LayOver Time used well
