Every bite and sip will connect you to Norway’s vibrant flavors.

But it’s not just about the food! We’ll take the funicular up to Fløyen mountain🚠, where you’ll be greeted with crazy, panoramic views of the entire city and surrounding fjords⛵️. I will start by saying that this experience is not for everyone, but was perfect for me. Michal was a great host. His approach was that of having a friend visit Oslo that had never been there before. It was not history tour. (I had just experienced two weeks of history tours throughout Scandinavia.) In two days we walked all over the city experiencing the sights and sounds, and Norwegian food and drink. He carried a large duffle bag filled with treats and we visited a couple of restaurants featuring classic dishes. We visited a few museums, road a tour bus for a few stops, took a ferry around the islands and stopped at one to have a barbecue and enjoy a nature walk, went up the mountain to see the ski jump, went to a concert with some of his friends and so much more. It was the perfect end to my vacation. PS. Michal had moved to Bergan for a job opportunity after I booked this tour. Rather than canceling, he travelled back to Oslo to fulfill this commitment. We appreciate so much when we get to enjoy a host like Michal! He was effectively communicative leading up to our tour and he went ABOVE and BEYOND to provide us with so much more than we expected! Some of the things we ate were genuinely some of the best foods we’ve had in our lives! My advice to his future groups, let him know if you don’t eat seafood. Fortunately, we are adventurous eaters and we love seafood, which is abundant in Norway. Anyway, thank you Michal! You’re a credit to WithLocals hosts and we can only hope our future hosts feed us as well as you did! Hope to eat and drink with you again!The Amazing Michal!

Michal had a backpack full of Norwegian treats. He took us to some wonderful spots to enjoy Norwegian cuisine. His personality is outgoing and friendly. He was willing to change our plans to fit our wishes. Unique and better than we expected.
