Hi, I'm Mihály (like in the English words me+hi) and though my parents were from different parts of former Yugoslavia, Skopje is my birthplace where I grew up and still living here. I've been guiding tourists from all around the globe since 2013 and I've noticed that beside visiting historical landmarks and taking pictures of statues (they say Skopje has more statues than people) tourists often ask me where we locals live or go for leisure or where we get our local food typically from? Therefore in my tours we visit places like chocolate shops, green markets, supermarkets and neighborhoods that aren't the typical "tourist traps" but offer the genuine local experience, yet provide a nice vibe. Of course, instead if you wish for a standard tour of the city central area plus the old town and bazaar, that can be also arranged.

p.s. Tours can be done either in English, Hungarian, Croatian or Serbian language.

Because of another event we asked Miahlj to meet us us later in the day. He willingly accommodated our request. Thank you! This was a different food tour thsn we'd ever been on, and we have done many. We really felt like Miahlj wanted to give us a true local experience not just show us the "prettiest or fanciest spots" . We also appreciated that he shared his view of the Skopje. The food was all good and I reccomend this tour but the opportunity to learn about the city from a life long residents perspective was great. Take the tour if you have a chance Great tour

I myself work for withlocals and wanted to test out withlocals as a tourist.Mihalj was a great decision through and through.A fully certified historian and tourguide, as well as museum curator, he was very knowlegable and gave me a deep overview of Macedonian and Skopje's history and more. He walked me through all the little corners and painted a rich story as we went along.He gave me different perspectives as well as a lense of the place as seen by a local.He helped me find my grounding and feel at home in Skopje.Highly recommend :)Certified withlocals pro
