Greetings, World Travelers! I'm Mohie, also known as Ramses XII, the owner of Tour Guide Ramses XII. I'm not just an English-speaking tour guide; I'm your ultimate storyteller and visual chronicler of adventures.

Picture this: an Ancient Egyptian navigating the modern world, on a relentless quest for sacred knowledge and thrilling experiences.

My journey began at Cairo University, where I graduated with a degree in Egyptology from the Faculty of Archaeology in 2008. From there, I ventured into the world of tourism, acquiring a tour guide license and later earning a Master's degree in Heritage Conservation.

My career kicked off in 2008, working with renowned travel giants like TUI Travel and Thomas Cook in the captivating Sharm El-Sheikh resort. In 2016, I returned to Cairo, my beloved hometown, dedicating myself to freelance tour guiding. I've curated countless private tours across Egypt, each one a unique adventure.

But wait, there's more! In 2020, I proudly penned my first book, "The Complete Ramses II, " available in Arabic and soon to be translated into English. You'll find me actively engaged on social media and making appearances on Egyptian television.

But my true passion lies in archaeology tours. I relish the fact that ancient monuments hold countless untold stories, my fervent passion is to breathe life into these narratives and share Egypt's resplendent past with the world.

This was an unforgettable day exploring the heart of Cairo, made truly outstanding by Ramses's exceptional depth of knowledge and passion for Egypt’s history. From the moment I was picked up at my airport hotel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle, along with a very kind driver (Fati) the experience was seamless and thoughtfully organized. Lunch was an added highlight, allowing us to enjoy authentic Egyptian cuisine in a local restaurant in the market that we’d never have discovered on our own. The schedule and timeline was open and I never felt rushed. This was not just a tour—it was an education experience. We booked Ramses for three days in order to make the most of our three days in Cairo. He was an outstanding tour guide. He was with us all day for three days and took care of everything we needed. While at the pyramids it felt like we were the only ones there. He knew the exact routes to take in order to give us the best experience. I can’t recommend him enough. Ramses has incredible knowledge of Cairo’s history and great perspective on life in the city today. It very quickly felt like we were being shown around by a friend. Stopped for Egyptian coffee and conversation before heading deep into the old city, wrapping up with a delicious lunch. Highly recommend. Amazing knowledge and great food

Don’t hesitate to choose Ramses for your Cairo (or other areas in Egypt) touring adventure… We hired Ramses for two days and the knowledge he was able to share is amazing, and his tours are fun and cater for everyone. Rarely do you meet guides who are as friendly yet professional, knowledgeable yet able to share that knowledge so easily, and a joy to spend time with. Ramses is a true delight and you will have an incredible time with him. He is brilliant at communicating and incredibly thoughtful. Had a wonderful experience. Ramses was very knowledgeable, friendly and accommodated all our requests. The tour itself was very interesting and provided a different viewpoint with a historical background of the three coexisting religions as well as a modern view of Cairo and a very fun bazaar. We had such exceptional adventures with Ramses. He is an Egyptologist, historian and a very caring and knowledgeable trip leader. We met as customers and left as friends.
