I'm Monse from Mexico, and I have the pleasure of calling Kanazawa City my second home. I have been living here as a PhD student for 5 years. Of course one of my mottos to continue studying hard is caffeine, and I would be more than happy to share with you my favorite ramen and coffee shops in Kanazawa and local historical gems.

I'm a very social, active, and history-enthusiastic person, waiting to have an amazing adventure with you and create beautiful long-lasting memories for you!

The title of the experience is, "The 10 Tastings of Kanazawa: Street Food". We literally went to 2 restaurants, not 10, and no street food. We were not informed that it was going to be 2 vs 10. Had we know we would NOT have paid this much money. We paid $440 for the "experience" then we were given a budget of $140 to "spend" at the restaurants. We did a food tour in Lisbon and it was the highlight of the trip. This was not. Monse was nice but this was misleading and incredibly expensive for what we received. I would rather have had a restaurant recommendation and saved $240+.Misleading and poor value

Our group of six was traveling through Japan in search of authentic, local experiences, and our time in Kanazawa with Monse was one of the highlights. She did an incredible job showing us the local scene, with fantastic restaurant picks and insight into the culture. Monse’s energy, warmth, and likable personality made the experience even more memorable. I highly recommend this tour—and especially Monse—to anyone looking to go beyond the typical tourist path. Monse, if you see this, I hope your presentation the next day went great!Great Local Experience

On May 10 my friend & I spent a lovely few hours with Monse. She was very knowledgeable, friendly and took us on an interesting walk around the Samurai district before heading to the market. At our request, Monse found a restaurant serving delicious tempura for lunch. We finished off with a gold leaf sprinkled ice-cream and white strawberries. Absolutely recommend Withlocals !A wonderful way to see Kanazawa.

We were really looking forward to our dinner tour with Monse and I must say that it certainly didn’t disappoint. Monse has high energy and she is very social - a perfect fit for a party of 4 Australians. She introduced us to some fabulous restaurants and we were able to enjoy Kanazawa food at its best. We would recommend Monse to anyone wanting to experience the best of Kanazawa. Fabulous evening hosted by Monse

We had a very enjoyable time on our walking tour with Monse . She is very knowledgeable about the history of the area. We had a private tour and she changed things a bit to suit us . She was enthusiastic and informative and we covered the main sights . We would certainly recommend her as a guide . Walking in Kanasawa

Monse tailored the tour around our food preferences as well as the local sights we had already seen. She had detailed knowledge of Kanazawa’s history and culture. She had great recommendations for foods to try and we were lucky to try foods at the Sakura festival. Monse was super laid back, had a great sense of humour and friendly.Experienced with knowledge

We had such a wonderfull day with Monse. She is talented in many, many ways. Her enthousiastic energy and extensive knowledge of Kanazawa’s history, culture and nature is amazing. Not to forget her love for the sublime Japanse street food. We had a perfect day! Arigato. Monse is the best! ❤️

Our day with Monse was very interesting, varied and entertaining. Monse is a very pleasant and friendly guide and was able to enthusiastically introduce us to the highlights of Kanazama. She was perfectly organized, has profound knowledge of the region, is humorous and communicative, and is flexible in accommodating individual requests. Long story short: We had a lot of fun and learned a lot. Highly recommended!Wonderful day in Kanazawa
