Hello, I am Nelli, a passionate foodie, traveller, blogger and local guide. I’m happy to show you my amazing and bubbling city, and give you some unforgettable memories.
Besides food-tastings and sightseeing tours, I also host online cooking classes.
I was born and raised in Hungary, and lived, studied and worked over half of my life abroad, in 7 different countries.
Being back to Hungary since 2017, I do what I love, and I just love what I do, sharing my passion with you here.
Hungary is a beautiful and small country with four seasons, a turbulent history, wonderful culture, great architecture and a delicious cuisine. There is a lot to explore. Explore with me!

Nelli is awesome! She is very professional, friendly, and provides a relaxed environment to enjoy the local food. She is on friendly terms with all the local vendors, and her knowledge and explanations makes for a wonderful and educational experience. She is also very good at making adjustments for food restrictions/allergies/intolerances. 100% recommend for anyone to book with her!!Amazing experience!

Unsere Tour mit Nelli war einfach spitze! Mit ihrer herzlichen Art hat sie uns Budapest auf eine richtig spannende und gleichzeitig super entspannte Weise nähergebracht.
Geschichte zum Anfassen, tolle Anekdoten und jede Menge interessante Details – wir haben so viel Neues über die Stadt erfahren, ohne dass es jemals trocken oder langweilig wurde. Dazu kam das Beste: das Essen! Nelli führte uns zu richtig tollen Spots, von traditionellen Leckereien bis zu kleinen Geheimtipps, die wir allein sicher nie entdeckt hätten.
Man merkt einfach, wie viel Liebe sie für Budapest und ihre Arbeit hat – das hat die ganze Tour zu einem echten Erlebnis gemacht. Vielen Dank, liebe Nelli – wir würden sofort wieder mit dir losziehen! Lieben Gruß, CaroEine perfekte Tour mit Nelli!

Our tour was scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m., but Nelli notified us in advance that she had a scheduling conflict. Fortunately, we were able to join two other guests, starting at 10:30 a.m. on the same day originally scheduled.
We met at the Great Market and spent a good bit of time there. Nelli told us about Hungarian culture and foods. We also had goulash, bread, and a beer at Panorama Etelbar. It was very crowded in the dining area, but we were all able to sit together. The food was good, and we actually ate there again a couple of days later. This was our first time at the Great Market, and we enjoyed the time spent there.
We then walked to Belvarosi Disznotoros, where we enjoyed a sausage, bread, and wine. We then had a langos and a chimney cake from a couple of food booths. Both were very good.
Nelli was very personable, and we enjoyed our time with her. I would recommend this tour.The 10 Tastings of Budapest Tour

Nelli gave us a wonderful tour. She was a fountain of knowledge on hungarian history, culture, and good food in budapest. We were more informed and filled with good food by the time we completed our tour. She was also a great resource for recommendations before and even after our tour. We had the best day on this tour. Kata was a delight. We especially loved the food market hall. We managed to get some holiday gifts. Enjoyed the tasting spots and history. Definitely recommend.Delightful Day!

We had an amazing tour with Nelli on our first day in Budapest. We enjoyed the mix of history and cultural information along with a great variety of tasty foods (and drinks) to try. Nelli also gave us great tips for what to see in the city and a place to taste more wine after our tour. Nelli was a great tour guide. She is enthusiastic and passionate about the local food. We had texted with her prior to the tour and she gave us exactly what we wanted - eat where the locals eat. Our family enjoyed every moment of our food tour with Nelli. Mixing Hungarian history, culture and cuisine, she taught us how to experience the past and the present through food and drink. She is a delightful guide, full of wisdom and good humor. Her tour was the highlight of our trip to Budapest. Fanstastic tour!
