Hi, I am Nguon Sominea but I also have a nickname (Lux) I have been touring this beautiful Siem Reap city & temples around Cambodia for over 12 years and I have done many tours with this site (Withlocals) for over 8 years now.

I offer many tours just like other guides do but a few of my tours are designed on my own experience to let passionate travelers like you get to explore and experience to enjoy learning as much as possible about my beautiful country of Cambodia.

I am passionate about history, art, culture, people, and food.

It was a lot of fun. The guide will pick you up in a luxury rickshaw and take you to selected locations. Ngoun fulfilled all our wishes - he got us a prahok and a duck embryo. We really enjoyed the tour and we recommend it!Real local experience!

I selected this tour due to the plethora of other positive reviews on this site. It was an excellent choice. Ngoun (Lux) was a consummate professional throughout the day (29 August), making sure to adjust the tour due to the unexpected bad weather in the morning. With expert precision, Ngoun knew where to go and when (and which spots would likely be less busy at particular times of the day). His knowledge of the history of the Angkor sites (including Angkor Wat, Angkor Thom and Ta Prohm) and the Khmer empire were all first rate, and added to the experience on the day. Our driver was also absolutely excellent - always greeting us with bottles of water (and even chilled towels!) This tour is excellent value for money and I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Siem Reap. 10/10 - a great way to experience Angkor

What can we say? Ngoun - he is your man! We had booked three tours with them, and all three were truly amazing! From guiding us expertly through the temples of Angkor Wat, keeping us away from the crowds, to showing us the secrets of Siem Reap and the Tonle Sap lake. Ngoun and his great drivers were always on time, and drinks and cold towels came in very handy. But Ngoun does not only have excellent local, historical and cultural expertise. What sets him apart from other guides is that he genuinely takes interest in you and your life. We have amazing and very interesting conversations about many everyday life questions - we highly recommend!Outstanding experience

We had a fantastic 2 day tour to Angkor and then waterfalls, floating village and Temples. A very relaxed 2 days with Ngoun who was an extremely knowledgable guide who delivered a really unique personal experience. We cannot recommend Ngoun enough…. Great 2 day tailored private tour!

Von Ngoun und Fahrer im Hotel abgeholt, geht es für uns auf der Fahrt mit vielen Informationen in sehr gut verständlichem Englisch zum Bootsanleger. Alles was die Bootsanmietung und das Ticketoffice für den Besuch des Dorfes angeht haben wir bewusst regeln lassen, so dass wir uns nicht über möglicherweise (zu) hohe Preise wundern. Wir haben so die Bootsfahrt und den Gang durch das Dorf mit Bewunderung für die das völlig andere Leben dort genießen können. Und durch die Begleitung Ngouns ohne uns zu fremd zu fühlen. Already within half an hour after the start of our tour my wife, kids and I said to each other that we were so happy we booked this private tour with Lux and his driver. This feeling stayed with us the whole day. With all Lux’s his knowledge you get to know so much about the temples that your can feel and visualize the history of Angkor. The mini-van is truly comfortable with so much space, comfy seats, cold water and refreshing towels after each temple visit. We could stop for a toilet visit, lunch or drinks whenever we wanted. I would most definitely recommend Lux his private tour. It’s worth every $ and the perfect way to visit Angkor for this - once in a lifetime- experience. Thanks Lux, thanks to you we will always remember this day 🙏Very, very nice private tour 👌

We had a great day with Ngoun. Big private car, driver and Ngoun as our guide. He will show you main features in Angkor Wat and other temples, but also hidden gems.Great!

Lux was een goeie relaxte gids. Hij was ruim op tijd bij het ophalen en sprak erg goed verstaanbaar engels. De minibus was fijn, ruim en lekker koel met prima chauffeur. Lux gebruikte de transportmomenten om achtergrond informatie te vertellen over de volgende plek zodat je rustig de site kon bezoeken. Hij bleef hij in de buurt om vragen te beantwoorden of meer te vertellen als je wilde. Heel goede ervaring dus en zeker aan te raden!Geweldige tour

We traveled to Siem Reap from New Zealand as a family of 4. Lux was a wonderful tour guide with fabulous knowledge of Cambodia and the areas around Siem Reap. He was very flexible with our tour itinerary and listened to what we wanted to do and see. Visiting Angkor Wat and Ta Prohm were a highlight of our South East Asian trip.
