Born and raised in Maastricht I started being a tourguide during my student days. So, you could say I am an experienced guide.

As I have studied history the region around Maastricht is a gem! Long before the Roman period there are traces of human activity to be found around Maastricht.

But history is a living thing because it involves people: People, past, present and future!

This border region between Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands is interesting. Not only because of the three different languages being spoken but also because of its rich history that has given us the way of live we have today!

Peter weet veel van de stad, de geschiedenis en de gebouwen. En vertelt op een leuke informele manier over de plekjes in de stad. En er was ook voldoende tijd om bij een lokaal cafe wat pilsjesvte drinken. Gezellige stadstour

Peter guided a tour with my students (around 19-21 years old) and they loved it. He mixed his knowledge as a historician and storyteller to make the tour enjoyable and we all had a lot of fun when exploring Maastricht.Fun and knowledgeable

Die Stadtführung mit Peter war einzigartig spannend, interessant und sehr unterhaltsam. Als „Local“ kennt sich Peter bestens aus und versteht es, die Stadt Maastricht auf eine humorvolle Art und Weise zu erklären, so dass wir einen wunderbaren Eindruck erhalten haben. Aus den eigentlich gebuchten 2 Stunden wurden schnell 3 und Peter hatte es dennoch nicht eilig, die Tour zu beenden. Er hat uns zum Glück nicht mit Jahreszahlen überschüttet, aber die wichtigsten Rahmendaten der Historie genannt. Sollten wir nochmals nach Maastricht kommen, würden wir ihn wieder engagieren. Als studierter Kunsthistoriker, Musiker und weltgewandte Person hat er uns beeindruckt und viele gute Tipps für unseren weiteren Aufenthalt gegeben. Eine private Tour mit Peter lohnt sich!Ein „Local“ mit Humor und Verstand!

Peter hat uns in sein Maastricht mitgenommen. Wie es früher war und wie es sich bis heute entwickelt hat. Sehr fundiert - aber ohne zuviel Zahlen, überaus kurzweilig und sehr gut auf die Interessen und Fragen unserer kleinen Gruppe eingegangen. Wir fühlten uns sehr wohl auf dem Rundgang. Discover Maastricht with a smile bringt es genau zum Ausdruck. Außerordentlich empfehlenswertes Erlebnis. Vergleichsweise teuer - aber Peter ist es wert. Ein Original
