I was born and spent most of my life in Naples. Here I graduated in Modern History and here I achieved my PhD in History. I also spent one year in Rome, one near Turin and six months in Edinburgh. Out of Europe I traveled to USA, China and Russia, meeting local people and getting a taste of local real life. My passion is to see how general history impacts local contexts: I love seeing how, behind a variety of traditions, umankind is so much the same everywhere.

Raffaele was funny and informative during the whole tour. He never gave a prepared speech but always found something relevant and interesting to talk to us about. He spent extra time with us because we were having so much fun. I would definitely recommend him for a tour of NaplesNaples tour

Raffaele is one of the best tour guides I've had - and I've taken many tours all over the world. He hold a degree in history, and so offers much historical context, but also talks about architecture, culture, food, and the vibrant life of Naples. I recently did a walking tour in Naples with Raf that turned out to be one of the most enriching experiences of our trip. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, effortlessly weaving together the city’s complex history with captivating stories and hidden details. The tour began with a deep dive into Naples’ ancient roots, from its Greek foundations to Roman influences, as we strolled through the historic center. Each building seemed to whisper its own story—ornate churches, crumbling palazzi, and sunlit piazzas full of life. A true highlight was exploring the Spanish Quarter. Far from just a tourist stop, our guide helped us see the vibrant daily life in its narrow, winding streets. We admired the colorful murals, felt the rhythm of Neapolitan life echoing through hanging laundry and scooter hums. The architectural diversity was astounding—from Gothic and Baroque churches to unexpected underground tunnels and grand staircases. Our guide pointed out details we never would have noticed on our own. This tour offered more than just facts; it gave us a genuine connection to Naples and its people. I left feeling inspired and eager to explore more of this layered, living city. Raffaele provided an incredibly brilliant experience. He was amazing at communication, because he kept on texting us on where he was, and he generally (like all good tour guides) was full of fascinating facts and stories, which were really interesting. We are a family of 6 who spent the day in Naples coming from Rome via train. We loved our walking tour of the highlights of Naples with Raffaele. Raffaele was very knowledgeable about his city. We learned the history of the city while visiting sites such as the palace, opera house, spanish quarter and the Cathedral of San Gennaro just to name a few. We sampled food along the way and truly enjoyed our day long trip. Rafaelle’s passion for his city is infectious and we all came away loving Naples!Walking tour of Naples

We had previoulsy passed by Napoli on the way to other places in the area (Capri, Ravello etc) but we had never dedicated time to discovering this fascinating city. On our recent trip to Campania, we made a decision to stay in Napoli for a few days to get to know it once and for all. We reserved a one day tour of the city with Raffaele who was very responsive when we booked our trip. He made sure that we were happy with the itinerary he proposed and was open to suggestions from us as to what we wanted to see and do. On the tour, he showed us around all the main sites, stopping on the way to delve into Napoli's history and culture. He was keen for us to get a real feel for the city and he shared some fascinating stories about its colourful and varied history, as well as details of current everyday life. Raffaele is very knowledgeable about his city and its history and he made every effort to ensure that we saw the most important as well as lesser known (and sometimes hidden from view) sites and he explained them well, at times with with fun fact stories, giving us suggestions of places to visit the next day on our own. He also showed us all the local food specialities and knew exactly where to go for the best caffe in town (and pizza clearly!). We would 100% recommend Raffaele as your guide for your trip to Napoli. our tour guide was amazing. He had in-depth knowledge of the history of Naples and was able to take us around to see some of the major highlights, understand the culture, and give us suggestions additional places to go for our next visit. A must do tour while in Naples

Coming by cruise ship, we had only a day in Napoli. Our first visit to this city could not have been better. To walk and listen to Raffaele was so absolutely fantastic, we could not believe, how much Raffaele knows about his city. All the historic facts he explained in such a interesting way to us. It was a joy listening to him. He also explained the todays live and showed us the little squares in the Spanish quieter and the old town. We can highly recommend Raffaele. Don’t miss this!!!
