I'm a certified professional chef, nutritionist, and a part time musician. I started my food passion since i was 7 years old and now specializing in Malay and American cuisine. I always believe in "good food don't have to cook fancy or complicated masterpiece, just good food from fresh ingredients". The dish that i'm most proud of is the "SPICY SHORT RIBS RED CURRY". It's a very unique flavor in the curry paste, passed down from generations to generations.

Faris was a brilliant guide. We did the 5 food tasting of KL street food. Faris was both interesting and informative and I would recommend him for anyone wanting a great guide and great food.Fantastic experience

Wat een leuke tour! Allerlei leuke tentjes waar je zelf niet langs zou gaan als Westerling. Veel variatie met een stukje achtergrond van ieder gerecht. Faris neemt de tijd en is erg gastvrij!Erg gastvrij!

Faris knows food and knows how to bring that knowledge to a trip around the culinary secrets of KL He has a vast knowledge of not only the food you are eating but also can tell you how to prepare it and its history and origins He allows you time to browse a few shops and seems to just enjoy being out doing something that he loves. He freely admits that he is not a history buff and although he is happy to talk about KL he really comes alive when he is explaining about the food you are eating. To be fair there is too much food we took some back to the hotel with us for later ( think Christmas dinner stuffed) and you get the idea I can’t praise him enough and would highly recommend him He even gave us a lift back to our hotel and regaled us with tales of his cooking experiences abroad whilst we sat in traffic A great tripBrilliant Food and great company

Faris is a great guide . Very knowledgeable and entertaining. We enjoyed our evening and the good food. Had a good laugh about getting soaked in the rain too; I’d advise others to check the forecast and buy a good poncho if the weather is going to be rainy. Awesome tour

Had a wonderful evening with Faris, exploring local restaurants offering a variety of traditional Malaysian food. Faris was interesting and demonstrated a wealth of knowledge. He was also interested and we had some great conversations throughout the evening. Excellent - couldn’t have been better! Withlocals - an amazing experience!

I love a food tour. I have done them all over the world. This was one of the best. Faris took us to experience the culinary highlights of old town and central market. He choses the most delicious spots. Best dohsa I've ever eaten and a whole new flavour of Laksa that I'd not tried before. He was kind to accommodate our weird restrictions and clearly very passionate about food. Would love to find a Faris in every city in the world!Absolutely great for a real foodie

We really enjoyed our food tour with Faris. Being a chef he really understands food, how it’s made, what the ingredients are and what is eaten and when in the Malaysian/Chinese/Indian lifestyle. His English is also terrific. He brought special items with him to share with us and quite frankly went above and beyond. We were very well looked after. He even indulged a request I had to help me understand what a whole range of foods were in a large snack style supermarket. I would highly recommend a tour with Faris.In great hands

We loved discovering new food and places to eat with the host. We had great conversation and learned a lot about the city and country. Everything was delicious. We couldn't finish the food at the last destination and had to take it back home. I would recommend this tour and the host to everyone visiting KL for the first time.Great food
