Stage aside, she has been creating personalized experiences and tours to share what it feels to be Portuguese through the charming Lisbon and its history since 2014. We had an amazing experience on the Lisbon Food Tour with Rita. She took us to some very nice spots and it was clear that she was picking the best of the best for the guests. She has a wealth of knowledge of the history of food and the city. We booked this tour with open expectations. It wouldn't be the first time I'd attend something highly recommended and finding it a bit overrated. So there was a slight bit of scepsis. I couldn't be more wrong though: When we met our tour guide Rita it quickly became clear that she masters her craft in captivating story telling, with a very humerous touch and spontanity. The tour is everything you'd hope for when you look for a thorough summary of the Lisboan history whilst viewing some of its connected landmarks. Rita has very vivid ways of bringing it all to life. With the wit of a stand up comedian. On top of that we received a few warnings on tourist traps plus recommendations on restaurants and places to go. This tour is a great way to start your adventures in Lisbon. Or a way to add context and depth to landmarks visited.Rita masters her carft in captivating storytelling

We had the most delightful and informative tour of Belem and Monastery with Rita. She is charismatic, extremely well informed, and altogether “with it.” As a family of extreme (and highly educated) history buffs, we are not easy to please. But Rita aced it for all of us — keeping all ages thoroughly engaged and learning. Terrific tour!Rita aced it

We spent two delightful days touring Sintra and Evora with Rita. She was knowledgeable, full of interesting stories, and extremely accommodating to our group of twenty-seven. She anticipated our needs, planned a reasonable and enjoyable itinerary, and kept us on track. Rita had many suggestions for good places to eat, she knew alternative pathways for those who needed or wanted them, and created a good balance of tour time and free time. She is personable, funny, and her English is flawless. She took us to places off the beaten path and explained why what we were seeing was so important, and she shared anecdotes about what life in Portugal is like for the typical person. It is clear that she lives her country, and can see and talk about its flaws. I would hire her again enthusiastically and without reservation.Two delightful days with Rita

This was our first trip to Lisbon and our city tour guide Rita Jardim was nothing other than exceptional! She is energetic, passionate and has expert knowledge of the city covering both historical and contemporary topics. She went out of her way to set a tour based on our requests and provided additional information and suggestions for the remainder of our stay in Lisbon from sites in and around the city to visit and restaurants we should try. Rita was fabulous, knowledgeable, personable + engaging. We really appreciated her introduction to traditional Portuguese food + drink, including a quick shot of Ginjinha between stops. We loved the casualness of the places we visited from the best custard tart maker and charcuterie shop to the traditional restaurants while we enjoyed salt cod, sardines, cheeze, jambon, chicken croquettes + chorizo sausage along with local wine samplings. Aside from the food, Rita also provided us with interesting commentary on the city and took us to areas that we might not have discovered on our own. All that to say: Don’t hesitate!Rita was fabulous

Rita was very simply the best guide we ever had. She gave us both a food and separate historical tour of Lisbon She is energetic, knowledgeable , with a great personality and very easy to deal with.
