Our precious few hours spent in Salvo’s company commenced at the Fontana del Garraffo; a fitting tribute to both the abundance of Palermo’s lifeblood and Salvo’s love for his home city. Traversing the Kalsa Quarter, absorbed by Salvo’s knowledge of history, both ancient and modern, and much entertained by his wit and charm. Learning about the ‘golden basket’ of Palermo’s ‘blessings’, wandering through the park of ancient magnolia trees, overlooked by the shadows of the Spanish Inquisition and then delivered to the best and oldest coffee house in the city. We loved walking around Palermo with Salvatore! He is so friendly and charming and knowledgeable. We didn’t have as much time as we would have liked, but he made it work, and he also helped us find secure parking. He could not have been a better host and guide. Can’t say enough about how much we enjoyed our time with him.Salvatore is charming!

We had a great time with Salvatore. The tour was like walking with a knowledgeable friend, not a guide that was just leading from one point to another. The tour we did was off the beaten path. We would recommend Salvatore. It was time well spent.

Salvatore is a warm, enthusiastic person, who puts you at ease, you feel like you are on a walk with a friend. Salvatore shares his passion & extensive knowledge of his city, Palermo. If you take a tour with him you learn many interesting & unusual facts and historical gems. This has stimulated us to delve further into Palermo’s history. We loved our tour with Salvatore and have no hesitation in recommending him. He’s English is very good. Salvatore is fantastic

Salvatore est passionné et a pris le temps de nous faire vivre Palerme à travers son histoire en remontant 700 ans avant JC. We met Salvo on first day in Palermo and boy are we glad we did. First of all, his English is great as is his sense of humor. He has a deep knowledge of the city and history of Sicily. He gave us insider information which improved our understanding of what we were seeing and experiencing. We would hire him again if ever back in Palermo. I bet his food tour would be really fun. Despite torrential rain, thunder and lightening most of our walk, Salvatore gave us a very informative and all-encompassing overview of the city’s history, culture and cuisine. Would highly recommend choosing SalvatoreRainy walking in Palermo

Besides being a delightful human being, Salvatore’s knowledge was inspiring and informative, which made our tour so enjoyable. He was open to questions and was patient with us. Salvatore has a deep love for his city and homeland. He even extended his time with us and was very authentic in his care for our satisfaction.
