I live in Berlin because I fell in love with the atmosphere of the city in far 2003, when I was writing my dissertation on Mesopotamia (Berlin hosted the most famous archaeologists!).

With a friend we opened an little café and pastry shop near what was once the airport of Tempelhof, bringing in Berlin our very Italian love of food. While making cakes, I never stopped interesting myself for history and culture of this unique city and it has never stopped to surprise me.

Sara gave us a wonderful few hours that took us through the end of WW2 through the Cold War and out the other side. We are both keen historians and we were impressed at Sara's attention to detail and her analysis of the key events. Her knowledge is encyclopedic. She is very engaging and personable. We made a specific request to Sara, because of an essay to be written about Cold War, and our experience with her exceeded any expectations! She's nice, really well prepared, and the four hours we spent together just passed so fast! We were a small group of 7, aged 10 to 76, and she was able to keep our attention alive for the entire tour. We highly recommend Sara and her tour if you wish to understand and enjoy Berlin and its complications. In addition, she was keen on suggesting places where to eat, and to visit, and she even gave us a complete list of movies to watch to learn more about Berlin's hostory. We are grateful to have met her :-)A must to understand and enjoy Berlin

Sara was a fantastic guide with immense local knowledge. She made the history of The Cold War in Berlin come to life with historical fact interwoven with human stories. Our son is studying The Cold War for A level and it was really helpful for him to hear different perspectives of events and see where they took place. Sara was super organised with advice leading up to our tour and again afterwards with recommendations that enhanced the rest of our trip. We would not hesitate to recommend her. Sarà è semplicemente incredibile come guida! Ci siamo trovati in un bar all'ora stabilita e ci ha fatto un introduzione storica di ciò che era successo a Berlino tra la fine della seconda guerra mondiale ed il 1961. Ovvero che cosa ha portato alla costruzione del muro ed i tanti perchè dietro ad una scelta tanto scellerata. Ma Sara non si limita a farti la lezioncina scolastica, lei è un'appasionata divulgatrice che ci ha lasciati incantati con una introduzione fondamentale per capire veramente quello che avremmo visto di li a poco. Poi siamo usciti e sui luoghi più significativi del' ex muro di Berlino ci ha teletrasportato con le sue parole al 1961 ed abbiamo rivissuto quei primi giorni assurdi e poi la consapevolezza di essere prigionieri ed i tanti ingeniosi tentativi di fuga e... Insomma un'immersione totale: collegamenti, aneddoti di personaggi famosi e di persone comuni, tante storie nelle storie, tanti luoghi commoventi, tanto amaro in bocca per le sofferenze dei berlinesi e tanta consapevolezza che la libertà non la si può mai dare per scontata. Grazie Sara, la storia è magister vitae e tu sei stata il nostro "Virgilio".Teletrasportati nel 1961

We received a perfect history tour from Sara on our first visit to Berlin. She was immensely knowledgeable, answering questions with patience and great insight. We went over our allotted time of four hours and the time went by so quickly! Sara was a wonderful ambassador for Berlin!An amazing tour of Berlin!
