I live in Berlin because I fell in love with the atmosphere of the city in far 2003, when I was writing my dissertation on Mesopotamia (Berlin hosted the most famous archaeologists!).

With a friend we opened an little café and pastry shop near what was once the airport of Tempelhof, bringing in Berlin our very Italian love of food. While making cakes, I never stopped interesting myself for history and culture of this unique city and it has never stopped to surprise me.

Spending a few hours eating and drinking with Sara was an absolute pleasure. She accommodated my pescatarian teenager, despite Berlin not being a terribly seafood friendly city. Extremely knowledgeable and interesting throughout, not just with food, but also with respect to culture, history and politics. Learnt a lot, and a great introduction to the Kreuzberg district. Thoroughly enjoyed our time with Sara. Positive feedback from 2 teenagers as well!Excellent guide and food

We had a great time on our food tour with Sara. Sara is very knowledgeable of the history of Berlin while sharing with us culturally significant dishes. There’s a lot of food to try, and portions are big, so come hungry!Great way to explore Berlin!

Sara gave us a wonderful few hours that took us through the end of WW2 through the Cold War and out the other side. We are both keen historians and we were impressed at Sara's attention to detail and her analysis of the key events. Her knowledge is encyclopedic. She is very engaging and personable. We made a specific request to Sara, because of an essay to be written about Cold War, and our experience with her exceeded any expectations! She's nice, really well prepared, and the four hours we spent together just passed so fast! We were a small group of 7, aged 10 to 76, and she was able to keep our attention alive for the entire tour. We highly recommend Sara and her tour if you wish to understand and enjoy Berlin and its complications. In addition, she was keen on suggesting places where to eat, and to visit, and she even gave us a complete list of movies to watch to learn more about Berlin's hostory. We are grateful to have met her :-)A must to understand and enjoy Berlin

Sara was a fantastic guide with immense local knowledge. She made the history of The Cold War in Berlin come to life with historical fact interwoven with human stories. Our son is studying The Cold War for A level and it was really helpful for him to hear different perspectives of events and see where they took place. Sara was super organised with advice leading up to our tour and again afterwards with recommendations that enhanced the rest of our trip. We would not hesitate to recommend her.
