Ciao! I am Simone.

I was born and raised in Rome and I love my city! I want to share all the great things that my hometown has to offer and leave you with insider information you will only get from a true local and lover of Rome. The tour I am offering is for people who have limited time but want to gain a genuine feel for Rome, without missing the top attraction.

Variety (never routine!) is a key part of keeping things interesting and fun. So with me, you will find my tour is fresh and flexible. As a guide, I love to learn what interests you so my tour can engage and leave you with a real feel for my city.

I'm an urban cyclist with a big passion for football, I​ love meeting people from all over the world and making them comfortable in Rome. I also love cooking , farm and great wine. I love animals (especially my dog) and being outdoors. I'm a football(soccer) lover and in the evenings I coach a local youth team of which I am very proud.

As a side job in the low season, I tend to numerous olive trees in the countryside hills where I grew up, located north of Rome. During the harvest season in November and December, these trees yield an abundance of high-quality olive oil.

Let me show you my beautiful city and share my passion for art, architecture, history and the local stories of my city.

Simone was a hoot! It was a very casual and fun tour, with Simone very easy to speak with and making for a very fun tour. He personalised our tour on the fly and provided some great tips on where we could explore once our tour had finished. Our daughter slept in the pram for majority of the tour, but that didn't hold us back from touring the city. There was plenty of history, culture and insight into the Roman way of life, told through his eyes. We covered lots of ground (which we were very much open to). We stopped at a small local coffee shop much to my husband's delight and a pizza place - the best I'd sampled in Italy. Many thanks Simone. Laid back tour covering lots of ground

Simone is an outstanding tour guide! My family of four, including our two boys aged 11 and 12, did a walking tour of Rome last week with Simone. We chose him because we thought he would be great connecting with our kids, and he delivered. Simone knows the city so well, knows interesting off-the-beaten-track spots that we would never have found on our own, and has lots of interesting stories to share about Rome and Italy, from a historical, architectural, and modern standpoint. He just as easily related to our kids as to us, making the history of Rome come alive for all of us! He also took us to some beautiful churches, and hidden ancient Roman theater, and a fantastic Gelato shop, and made some great recommendations for food.and drinks afterward. This tour was amazing! Book with Simone if you want to have a good & comfortable time walking through the streets of Rome as he explains Rome’s history, takes you to local restaurants & shops for memorable food, & makes you feel like a long lost friend! 10/10 recommend.

Our family took a 90 minute walking tour with Simone. He was very pleasant and knowledgeable and brought us around places in Rome that we otherwise would not have seen. We did a 3 hr walking tour at the end of the day along some obvious highlights of the city but on the way Simone also showed us some hidden gems. Churches, residences, local restaurants etc. No rush, good stories and historical information made it a great and interesting tour. My 17 year old son was very pleased as well. We spent a few hours walking the streets in the historic center of Rome with Simone. He was very knowledgeable about the history of Rome and a very engaging conversationalist. He quickly adapted to what we were interested in hearing about and seeing and tailored the tour accordingly. Also, he introduced us to Roman pizza which was amazing as well as stopping off at a place with 152 flavors of gelato. I highly recommend Simone as a guide who will tell you and show you things about Rome and it's history that you likely didn't know about!Hidden Gems of Rome

Interesting 3hrs with Simone, didn’t go too heavy on history but enough to be informative. Pace was about right and we did the major, and not so major, sights. Very pleased overall. Would recommend. Lively and informative

Being on a business trip in Rome and with some spare time in the evening I decided to go to downtown Rome to see something of the cultural treasured of Rome. Alone in an unknown city it's maybe boring and you run around aimlessly. Having a lot of positive experience with the Withlocals service in many other places of the world I decided to book a guide. Everything went very well. Simone showed me some hidden places, the Pantheon and we had a nice talk. Almost at the end of the tour we walked up a little hill where I had a wonderful overview over the Forum Romanum and on the other side I could see the St.Peters cathedral. In this momentan I heart the bells of the cathedral ringing and I knew it must be the announcement of the new Pope. Simone realized that this is important for me and offered me to bring me to the St.Peters Place. It was quite a long walk along the Tiber river but we made it in time and I became part of the historical event when the new Pope entered the balcony. Although the booked time was long over he stayed with me and finally brought me to a place where I could order a taxi to go back to the hotel. Simone is definitely a nice person and a great guide with an excellence sense for his customers. I can fully recommend him. He is fully engaged and it's nice to talk to him. Simone thanks for this unforgettable tour.Habemus Papam!
