Simone was amazing. He was warm and friendly and showed my husband and I a true feel of Rome and history of its food. The food spots he picked for us were top tier. Amazing local family run places with the best food to offer. I would highly recommend. A fantastic experience

We loved our tour with Simone. He was able to keep my kids (aged 8, 10 and 12) engaged and interested and adapt his tour to our family's interests. He gave us a great lunch recommendation too. It was one of the best tours we did all summer. Highl recommended. Great personalized tour of Rome

What a great way to explore the city and learn more about it in an engaging way. Simone tried to make the history relatable to the kids and shared some great stories. Our family really enjoyed it and would recommend! Great first day in Rome

We’d seen the sights before, but Simone brought them to life in a completely new way. His storytelling added colour, context, and depth to every stop and his kind, relaxed approach made the whole experience a joy. In the three hours we were with Simone, We learned more about Rome than in the four days we spent here several years ago. He was able to teach history to my 21 year-old gamer through parallels from the game Assassin‘s Creed which one of the series was based in Rome. He kept my daughter captivated with the history, my husband with the ghost stories and me- I totally geeked out the whole time. I can’t tell you how refreshing it was to get a tour with someone like him. It was our first time using the Withlocals app. We had been canceled a couple times Withlocals with other tour guides- which we were really worried was going to happen again. But he showed up not only in person, but truly in The spirit of a true historical guide. I am so lucky that my children’s first experience in Rome was with someone like him. I would definitely book him for other tours. The other reviews are 100% true. Worth every dollar and more.Best tour in years— kept EVERYONE engaged!

Simone was an excellent tour guide. He was very personable and knowledgable about the history of the area. It was so fun hearing about the history of Trastevere and about different Roman poets. Along the stops, he’d read a poem in the original language and then translate it, going into the deeper meaning behind the poems. My favorite thing about the tour was getting to connect with a fellow poet. At the end, we both shared poems we each had written, and he even wrote about our tour and about each of our personalities. I’m so glad I found this gem of a tour. It was fun to explore Rome through the lens of poetry. If you’re interested in something a little more unique and love poetry then this tour is for you!Excellent Tour

Simon provided us with an absolutely outstanding walking tour of Rome that exceeded all our expectations. His deep knowledge of Roman history brought every monument and landmark to life with fascinating details and lesser-known facts that you simply won't find in guidebooks.
