We very much enjoyed our time with Stavros as the sun set in Athens. It was very easy to communicate and to meet up with him. He has done wonderful and specific research on the various sites that you will see and he’s very personable and clever. Don’t miss the opportunity to hang out with him for a while, you will learn a lot and have a great time!Very fun and informative time!

My husband and I toured with Stavros a Thursday evening. Stavros was always very responsive about times and meeting place before the tour. After he met us, we did a walking tour in the vicinity of the Hellenic Parliament where he shared a lot of knowledge about being gay in Athens past and present, and the importance of the tour locations in that history.
Stavros was very personable and we enjoyed our time with him. We left feeling we understood Athens and the community there a lot better than when we came. Great Choice for Low-Key Experience

I recently had the pleasure of joining Stavros’ private walking tour of Athens, titled “Athens LGBTQ+ Culture & Hangout Spots,” and I can confidently say it was one of the most magical experiences I’ve had in Greece so far!
From the moment the tour began, it was clear that Stavros is not just a guide but a true connoisseur of Athens’ rich history and vibrant culture. We embarked on this three-hour journey during a breathtaking sunset, which added an enchanting backdrop to the entire experience. The way the city lit up in golden hues was absolutely beautiful!
Stavros’ knowledge about culture and history in Athens was both informative and engaging. He shared fascinating stories, anecdotes, and insights that brought the city to life in a way that was truly unique. It felt less like a traditional tour and more like hanging out with a knowledgeable friend who wanted to show me the best of Athens.

What a great guy. We had the great fortune of getting to know Stavros more on a personal level as we threw back some drinks at the end of the tour.
We learned so much about the LGBT community in Greece and the history of gay Athens. He offers such great insight and perspective that only a true local LGBT person could.
The tour is specially curated to explore throughout the city center of Athens. You will learn things that no other tour guide will know--and I can say this with confidence. We booked other tours that were specific to sites and they barely touched the surface when they tried to talk about some of the sites Stavros already showed us.
You won't just be touring with a local, you will be guided by a friend and a kindred spirit.

Spending time with Stavros was one of the highlights of our Athens vacation. Whether you’re gay or just a friend of the gay community, this is a not-to-be missed experience. Stavros not only provides information about Athens’s gay community but also includes historical references of Athens and its monuments. Moreover, Stavros is an all around nice guy. He patiently answered all our questions and even sent us pictures of our tour. We really enjoyed meeting him and learning more about Athens and its gay community.Not-to-be-missed tour

I arrived in Athens wanting to connect with the city’s LGBTQ+ history—Stavros did a fantastic job at combining stories about Athens’s gay past, mixed with observations about its present culture. Stavros is incredibly friendly and knowledgable, and in a country which has been slower to support LGBTQ+ people than some of its European neighbors, his tour felt like a really affirming form of activism. I’d highly recommend it!Great experience!
