- I have a long experience in Travel Industry working as a local Tour Guide and as a Tour Leader. I have guided people from all over the world, including USA, Canada, Europe, Australia and Asia.

WHERE I LIVE

I now live in a very beautiful green city of Oslo, Norway. This year it is announced the most ecologically clean city in Europe. Earlier I was based in the Lake Land area of Finland selling winter tours, also working as a tour Guide.

WHAT I LOVE

- I love history, arts and very fond of nature. 

- I have passion for the people, country, culture and traditions of the region.

- I love my job and I have my own way of presenting things, and like explaining why things are different. 

- I read a lot and try to show and tell a little extra.

Tanya explored areas that we hadn't seen on prior Oslo tours and really gave us a wonderful perspective of life and food in Oslo. The local spots and traditional Norwegian foods were exactly what we were hoping to explore. She is a native Norwegian so also shared many historical facts and her good conversation resulted in the time passing very quickly. In fact, Since she wanted us to see as much as possible, she volunteered to stay with us longer than planned.New Experiences in Oslo

Tanya Lisa has a decidedly local perspective on all things Norway and Oslo. We enjoyed a special hangout for a coffee where se shared local chocolate, brown cheese and bread. The decor was amazing, a quite place to reflect and view many photos of Oslo from years past. We shared two types of "hot dogs" on flat bread (?), gratefully *not* buns we'd seen elsewhere. We were also were taken to an exceptional fish and meat store on the waterfront. There the owner gave us several different slices of sausages and salmon to enjoy, describing each with the family care put into the preparation of each. A true delight of senses, both visual and taste. Tanya, was perhaps a bit too enthusiastic, walking and talking quickly, but then again she offered many times to slow, we just couldn't because we were very interested in everything she had to say about the local foods, history, and culture. Be prepared to walk 6+ miles with her, she's a real dynamo!Great day of tasting and learning

Tanya came not prepared . She made an real effort but the whole experience was disappointing. We approached your company expecting you to have a better screening process. disappointment

Tanya was a knowledgable guide and a helpful person. We took the boat tour around the Fjord to understand the islands and the harbor but she was happy to discuss Norwegian culture and history in Oslo. We appreciated her understanding of Norway and her passion. Passionate guide who appreciates Oslo

Tanya Lisa is a very nice person, but I think she could improve as a guide in a number of ways. Felt like if I didn’t ask questions we didn’t get a lot of information and in fact over a three hour tour she was asking me what other questions I had more than a few times, so I felt like if I didn’t ask questions I’m not sure what we would learn. When I stopped asking questions she challenged me and said what other questions do I have. Was hoping for more of a guided tour teaching us about Oslo its history and landmarks. Would’ve liked a little more structure to the tour as we had not done a lot of research on Oslo and was hoping to spend the three hours to learn as much as we could. Felt like she was trying to adapt to what we wanted, and we were looking for somebody to lead the way. Very nice person but not the best tour

Amazing food tour with Tanya Lisa!!! She came to our hotel to get us and had a fantastic walk around Oslo, stopping at local food places. Our favorite was the local seafood store and got a taste of every Norwegian seafood and meats you can think off. The owner was a great story teller with a great sense of humor. Our second favorite was a stop at Salmon with a taste of the best salmon I’ve ever had and a history and information on salmon farming. So interesting!! Tanya Lisa didn’t mind that that our time ran over and walked us back to the hotel telling us about the city as we went along. Best tour!!Best Food Tour

Tanya is a top-notch guide. She knows so much about Oslo and is willing to adjust the pace and focus to accommodate her guests. We saw quite a bit in five hours and returned to our ship energized about what we had seen and done.A Guide Par Excellence

This tour is a very nice way to experience life like a local. As we learned during our time in Oslo, Norwegians love to be outdoors. We traveled with Tanya-Lisa for a few hours to 3 very different islands. Tanya-Lisa was a wonderful host, she explained a lot about each place, shared history with us and was even kind enough to provide Norwegian food for us to try. We enjoyed some hiking, beautiful views and the fresh, clean air of Oslo. If you enjoy nature and being outdoors this tour will not disappoint. Experience life like a Norwegian
