I am a Senior Software Engineer with a strong passion for art and history. I utilize math and statistics in my work, nature and art during my free time.

Born and raised in Genoa, I lived in the UK for many years where I discovered the pleasure of sharing my knowledge about Italian and Genoese history. We are immensely proud of our city.

I can offer a realistic trip, visiting the most interesting places, along with my personal recommendations that are often overlooked. I can suggest places for a proper lunch, avoiding tourist traps and ensuring high-quality food. Additionally, I offer lessons on Genoa's history in a friendly manner, explaining its significance, particularly its role in the unification of the Italian state.

Thomas has a wealth of historical knowledge which made our 2 day visit to Genoa! Super young man to be with, friendly and full of energy, flexible in approach and gave us a good understanding of the culture, politics past and present of Genoa, the region and Italy. Thomas is an engaging knowledgeable guy born in and rooted in the culture of Genoa. He structured the afternoon well around the interests we had declared. He even informed us the morning after of which Palazzos were open on a bank holiday. We came away with not just a better historical understanding of Genoa, and how it fitted into the broader ancient geopolitics, but more importantly the contemporary culture, mores and soul of this friendly, interesting , and wonderful city. We enjoyed our three hours with Thomas - his love of Genoa is obvious and he has the right balance of historical, political and cultural knowledge. The food stops were interesting, varied and very tasty. The portions were large, but better that than too little! Having driven through Genoa many times but never stopped, Thomas’ tour convinced us we need to come back and explore the city some more.Thanj you, Thomas!

Thomas's tasting tour in Genoa was a delicious and memorable experience. He guided us through the city’s culinary gems with passion and deep local knowledge. We sampled incredible treats—starting with a creamy caffè con panera, followed by multiple varieties of focaccia, each better than the last. The savory torte were a delightful surprise, showcasing local ingredients and traditions. The highlight was a plate of pasta with vibrant, homemade pesto—simple yet unforgettable. We ended with rich, flavorful gelato that perfectly capped off the tour. Thomas created a warm, engaging atmosphere and offered cultural and historical insights alongside every bite. We spent an evening on the "10 Tastings of Genoa" tour with Thomas. We can't say enough about this great guide. He was able to share his extensive knowledge of the history and culture of Genoa, all while leading us to hidden gem food places to eat delicious typical Genoese delights. Thomas was very friendly and extremely patient with our millions of questions and our slow-ish walking pace. We thoroughly enjoyed the evening and had enough leftovers for the next day! You can't go wrong with this tour, and especially Thomas. Fantastic tour

We booked a tour with Thomas instead of booking an excursion from our cruise ship. Thomas was engaging and truely loves his city. He gave us great information and even showed us a lunch location that only the locals know about. We would definitely book a tour with Thomas again. Great alternative to cruise excursion

We had such a great food tour with Thomas!! He provided us with so much history about Genoa and the places and foods he had us savour were fantastic!! He was even nice enough to take us to the best places to purchase olive oil and pesto!! Thomas was great, it was wonderful to have him as our guide 😊Thomas was great!
