A degree in Fine Art and a huge dose of enthusiasm about the prospect of continuing my studies in Florence brought me here over 30 years ago .A lot has happened since then, romance, becoming a mum ( twice) art exhibitions, learning how to sculpt in ceramics, teaching English to so many fantastic students over the years , taking up mountain biking in my 40s ! but it wasn't until I decided to do the obvious thing for someone with my love for art, passion for my adopted city and flair for communication, and that was to become a tourist guide ! everything naturally fell into place, I had found my true vocation. I've only ever done things that I really believe in and which I feel sincere about and this profession suits me to a tee ! I love everything about my job, meeting people, entertaining them with stories and facts that I hope will make their stay in Florence and Tuscany that more special and memorable. What could be more rewarding than being immersed in the study of the greatest artistic phenomenons the world has ever seen ?

Virginia was a fabulous guide. Super knowledgeable about the architecture and history of the main attractions. But she also added bits of insight into art and it’s development within the context of an evolving Florence. Lots of hidden gems along the way and very good recommendations for restaurants and gelateria off the tourist track. Fantastic overview of Florence

We thoroughly enjoyed our walking tour of Florence with Virginia. Her wealth of knowledge of the history of this beautiful city brought everything alive. She described how the tremendous artwork played such an important and significant role in the evolution of Florence, in such a fascinating manner. She had so many little tidbits of fun facts too! We would definitely recommend a tour with Virginia! Walking through Florence

I loved my tour with Virginia. Saw so much which was fascinating and beautiful in just a few hours and felt I was understanding what I saw. Virginia really gauged my interests and tailored the tour accordingly. She has a wonderful wealth of interesting history and art insight which she explains in a light, engaging way as well as great recommendations for the true Florence artisans. art, history, shopping and food!

Virginia was a wonderful guide - great with the kids, kept a great pace to the tour, and was incredibly knowledgeable. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a guide to take you and your family around Florence.Wonderful experience!!!

Virginia was an excellent guide. She was engaging and flexible, working with us, going at our pace. She was so knowledgeable - it was exceptional- all the intricacies of the back lanes, all the interesting tidbits that really brought Florence to life for us. Virginia was very knowledgeable about all of Florence and the history but she advertises as family friendly - and there was nothing that made it "family friendly" i don't think she ever got down on her level and really spoke to my daughter or engaged her at all. Again she knew her stuff so if you want a history, lovely walking tour this is great. but not family friendly necessarily great history - not for kids

we visited Florence for the first time and selected the renaissance tour with Virginia. It was an exceptional experience. She was extremely knowledgeable, personable, and made us feel like locals for the time. If you are considering a tour in Florence, take one here and it will be a hilight of your trip. Best First Visit to Florence
