Hello, nice to meet you! I'm Xavier and I live in a small village just outside of Bruges. Everytime when I enter the historical city center of Bruges again, I'm feeling so blessed that I was born and raised here. Bruges keeps on surprising me, even after more than 35 years.

Besides being a guide, I'm also working as an independent content creator, travel journalist, photographer, tour leader and so much more. That means that I travel a lot and discover so many new places in the world. But honestly: I also like to just be at home, in my beautiful Bruges. So please let me share my love for my hometown, during an exclusive tour just for you!

We had an amazing day in Bruges with Xavier as our guide. He brought the city’s history and legends to life, from the swans in the canals to the stunning architecture in Markt and Burg Square. He also pointed us toward great local flavors, including waffles, hot chocolate, and a delicious Flemish lunch at Cambrinus. Don’t forget the great beer and chocolate treats! Xavier was knowledgeable, fun, and made us feel like we were exploring the city with a friend. The tour was the perfect mix of history, food, and sightseeing! Highly recommend booking with him! We had a great time with Xavier. He took us to all the main sights and some less-known places and his knowledge of Bruges was impressive. He took into account our love of béer and we tried a few local specialties. Xavier was fun and engaging. We would highly recommend his tour!Super tout of Bruges!

Wat was het leuk én interessant om met Xavier door Brugge te wandelen. Hij weet heel veel en vertelt er aansprekend over. Xavier is enthousiast en betrekt iedereen erbij, ook de kinderen. Op de tweede dag hebben twee van ons ook een geweldige biertour beleefd! Dat was heel gezellig. Xavier bracht ons naar leuke gelegenheden, waar we genoten van heerlijk bier. Kortom, ga vooral op pad met Xavier!Geweldige wandelingen beleefd met Xavier!

We couldn’t have had a better tour of stunningly beautiful Bruges than with Xavier! He was a polite, considerate, knowledgeable and particularly engaging guide. Full of many great stories, especially about the swans! We told him we needed a slower pace and frequent opportunities to sit, as we were pretty worn out from previous 2 weeks of cobblestone walking. He met us at the train station as planned and off we went to a park where there was a giant map of Bruges and he gave us an overview of everything before we started, ensuring we had a place to sit while he was talking. He made sure we had a bathroom break, along with a drink and rest. He truly loves this amazing city where he was born and it shows. We would not hesitate to recommend Xavier, whether for seniors (like us), or any other age groups. He has a knack for connecting with people and sharing his engaging stories and knowledge. My travel companions and I only had one short day in Bruges. We decided to book Xavier’s Highlights and Hidden Gems walking tour so that we could really see as much as we could of this beautiful city. Xavier is charming, kind, and knowledgeable about his home town. He modified our tour to fit our needs and desires. This trip was our first into Belgium (3 cities in 3 days) and served a reconnaissance mission for future trips. We will most definitely be back to spend more time in Bruges thanks to Xavier. We will be wanting to book other tours with him at that time. Highly recommend! A most perfect afternoon!!

There were 4 of us in our group with Xavier. We very much appreciated his insight into Bruges as we explored it for the first time. Great information about the city and its history. We were able to see and learn a lot about the city. Insights into the city were very helpful for us. He provided an extensive list of restaurants when asked. We did go to two he suggested…..L’Estaminet (great place and definitely felt more local) and Grand Cafe De Republiek (another great option that we were grateful for the recommendation).Awesome Tour with Xavier!
