Yogi was an excellent guide in his home of Kanazawa. He was very gracious and patient, tailoring the tour to the sights we cared about most, guiding us to hidden gems we never would have found, and filling in gaps with historical context and background for things we had already seen on our own. Yogi has great knowledge of the culture and history of Samurai and Geisha districts where we spent most of our time. Definitely worth coming to the beautiful city of Kanazawa if you visit Japan and, if you do, we would recommend you seek out Yogi!Beautiful Kanazawa!

Yoji was the best guide ever. Before we even left for our trip, he had communicated with us to get our ideas for a tour. He also made dinner reservations that turned out to be our favorite meals in Japan. His tours (we did 2 full days with him) were informative and fun. He gave us time to shop and eat, pointing out the best bites and shops in the market. Even after our tours were over, he messaged us to make sure we made our train and then gave us dinner reservations for a later part of our trip. I would highly recommend him for any tour!Best tour guide ever!

Had a great time exploring Kanazawa with Yoji. Being a local, he really knows the area well and took us to some interesting places that we wouldn’t have found on our own. Yoji was knowledgeable about the city’s history and culture, and it was nice getting his perspective on different spots around town. He showed us places that felt more authentic than the usual tourist areas. Overall, it was a good experience and we’d book with him again if we’re back in the area. After the bad experience at Tokio, it was so nice to have an excellent guide from „with locals!“ Yoji is very friendly and professional! He knows a lot and we have had a lot of fun! Great experience

We communicated with Yoji beforehand and told him where we had been on our previous visit to Kanazawa. Based on that, he selected the Ninja Temple and Samurai District. The Ninja temple was a very authentic experience. Hearing about and seeing the ways the samurai could escape if needed was interesting. Also learning about the life of a samurai and how his aides were to treat him was eye opening. Walking around the samurai district and seeing some of the grand homes they once lived in was a treat. Yoji's knowledge was a plus. He knew which homes were still occupied by descendants of samurai. We asked Yoji to pick a local restaurant for lunch. He selected a family owned place. It was owned and run by a local couple. The lunch was outstanding. Definitely one of the best meals we had on our entire trip. Yoji did a good job by picking that place. Yoji's pride of his home town was evident in his dialogue during the day. He was a joy to spend time with and made our experience in Kanazawa a great one. His english is perfect due to his years in the US obtaining both his bachelors and masters degrees there.Yoji is the Best

Yoji showed our family the highlight of Kanazawa. He was very kind and drove us around as it was a rainy day. He provided us valuable insights of life in Kanazawa where he grew up, and of Japanese culture, through the lenses of his international experience having lived in multiple other countries. We would highly recommend Yoji.

We had a wonderful walking tour of Kanazawa with Yoji! We only had a short time in the city and Yoji showed us all of the important sites that we would never have been able to accomplish seeing on our own. Thank you Yoji for a wonderful day! Beautiful Ksnazawa!
