Max was just what we needed. We had already been exploring the area we chose for two days and Max was still able to bring us to spots we haven seen or heard of. He really worked with us to make it a great experience.

Yoshihiro (Ted) changed our meeting point closer to our hotel which was very kind. We learnt a lot about how to get around and some local history in our 1.5hr tour. Ted even went out of his way to get us to the markets at the end of our tour. A friendly local guide.

My family of ten with wide ranging tastes and age group had a great time learning about the best local food in Kyoto. We would not have been able to find and enjoy the experience without Eiji's guidance. He was extremely patient and kind with our requests. We had a great time and experience tasting all the interesting and delicious 'best of Kyoto' food! Highly recommended.

Guia was wonderful, helping us orient ourselves on our first day. She adapted instantly to our interests, telling us cultural and historical information. As we walked through the market, she pointed out the best foods and products. It was like visiting a friend who lives in a foreign city—comfortable and warm. Thank you!

We had a fantastic time with Eiji. The food on the tour was delicious. We went back to some of the places he showed us several times while in Kyoto. The food was so good. We will be recommending this tour to all of our friends!

Thank you a lot Eiji for such a wonderful walk. Eiji is very friendly and open local guide. He showed us some of the must see spots in Kyoto and few hidden jams. We learned a lot about Japanese culture and about the city itself. Besides that we just had a great time and as a bonus received so many beautiful pictures as a memory.

Ted (Yoshihiro) was amazingly knowledgeable and and friendly. We had such a great time learning about Geiko and Maiko. He took us to such beautiful spots and we learned so much from him. We definitely enjoyed the whole tour.

This tour is so incredibly thought out and intentional! From the place we met up with Ted til the very last second we were given amazing history and stories of the city. Ted was a wonderful guide who know explanations to everything we wanted to know- since this is out first time in Japan, it was a lot:) he was very kind, very patient, very entertaining and had very good recommendations for our whole stay in Kyoto - Perfect Information in a Brief but still relaxed way.
