We booked a Mexico City Kickstarter tour with Mabel, and it was anything but just a Kickstarter! We spent 3 hours with her, while she explained the importance of the historical center of CDMX. I honestly learned more about the history of Mexico in those three hours than I did in all my years of schooling. She was engaging, knowledgeable, and best of all, shared her favorite places to go in the city for food, art, etc. After the tour, she sent a long list of her favorite museums, etc. and even built out a two day itinerary for us. We would have never known about a local's art event on Saturdays without her telling us, where we ended up going and commissioning a painting for our home. Thanks, Mabel. We had our walking tour with Hilary the day after we arrived in Mexico city. We had nothing specific that we were looking for which probably wasn't helpful to Hilary but I have to say, we had the most enjoyable time!!! Hilary was a mind full of information. She was quick to figure out areas and information that she thought that we'd be interested in, and we were!!! Sometimes walking tours can feel like the guide is just throwing out facts that they've learnt about the area but with Hilary this was definitely not the case. Al took us to the main attractions in the Centro Historico and gave us a brief overview of their historical and cultural significance. He had a real knowledge of the subject matter and enjoyed sharing his knowledge with us. In addition to the main attractions, he showed us some hidden gems. He was personable and helpful. He even took time after the end of the tour to make sure we got to the right spot to get a ride back to our hotel. Did this tour as the start of my thanksgiving vacation with my parents. Mabel was very knowledgeable and catered to giving us a history of mexico with elderly parents who can't walk too long. My spouse and I were very appreciative of Nalleli. She took such good care of us. Met up with us at our hotel. She was so considerate of the fact that we were visiting this country with our basic Spanish. She took us around La Condessa. Stopped at El Morrow for churros and hot chocolate. Walked in the park watched all of the dogs. We loved the green space. Nalleli showed us how to get a metro bus lol. The conversation was great company was great. If we had more time with her Im sure we would have gotten a chance too see more. Top notch all the way. My spouse and I didn't really have a plan Nalleli offered great tips that allowed for navigation around the city. When we return to Mexico we are definitely rebooking with her.Best time!

Don’t do it. We booked this as our introduction to a city we’d never visited before, so it was important to us. We turned up at exactly the right place at exactly the right time. No guide. We messaged the guide 4 times. No response. Waited 30 minutes as our plans evaporated. Just … don’t book this. It’ll mess up your holiday.Guide didn’t turn up. Terrible.

Our family of 4 had a great time with Juan Pablo. He was easy to communicate with even before we got to Mexico City and he was very flexible with scheduling. We expected to arrive in CD MX before 1pm on a Sunday and have a 4pm tour with Juan Pablo that day, but our flight was delayed for 4+ hours so we did not arrive until it was too late for a 90-minute kickstart tour. We were able to reschedule our tour for the next day even with all the other things we had already planned for that Monday because of Juan Pablo's flexibility. Thank goodness for technology, we were able to keep each other apprised of our arrival time at our meeting point. Although traffic from the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe made us a few minutes late, Juan Pablo was not fazed by it. He was calm when we met each other and he did not rush through our itinerary either. In fact, we had a great time in our walking tour that we extended it by 30 minutes. Since we had been traveling for hours the day before, my family and I needed a bit of a break an hour into our tour. As luck would have it, we were by El Moro Churreria just when our sons said they could use a cold drink and a snack, so we were able to take a much-needed break, have good food, and not get caught in the rain when it started to pour. We had an enjoyable time with Juan Pablo and hope to keep in touch. Through the next few days after our tour, he even checked up us on to make sure we were doing okay and enjoying our vacation in Mexico City. Thank you, Juan Pablo, for a great tour and your flexibility! Great overview tour with a great guide!
