Our family of four had lots of fun with Sandy on the pastry tour. We were in Vienna just for the weekend and this was a great way to get a little history, try some well known pastries and experience a few of the coffeehouses. Sandy is lovely and knowledgeable about the city and ensured that we tried a wide variety of treats. I give the tour a 10 out of 10! My husband and I were in Vienna and had a private pastry tour with Sandy. We had a wonderful experience. Sandy took us to places that only a local would know. We had some of the most delicious cakes and tortes topped off by an ice cream dumpling. Sandy was very knowledgeable about the history of Vienna, as well as the different foods we were having. Susanne and I met in the freezing cold but the information and laughs that we shared made the temperature bearable. Susanne has a huge amount of knowledge that she shares with ease. We took Selin for a family tour on our trip to Vienna with our 3 children (6, 6 and 11). Selin showed us the highlights of the city’s center on a 2h tour packed with interesting information about the history, architecture and personalities that lived in the city. Susanne is a very warm and engaging person, with an enormous amount of knowledge on Vienna due to her historian background. She is a wonderful storyteller, bringing to life snippets of interesting information about the places we visited. When we experienced a delay at one of the cafes we visited Susanne kept us entertained with more stories. Ultimately we ended up moving to another cafe due to the delay, but that was by no means any fault of Susanne's. We enjoyed our foodie tour. I would recommend Sandy in a heartbeat! I booked the tour while I was still back home in Canada and Sandy was super easy to communicate with through the With Locals website. I had only an evening layover in Vienna. Sandy picked me up from the airport and tailored a late night tour to accommodate my short time frame. Sandy also graciously accommodated my last minute request to invite two friends who had decided on short notice to fly from the UK to meet me in Vienna. Sandy's knowledge of Viennese history, architecture and culture is astounding and with her humorous anecdotes we were captivated. When our family arrived two minutes early to the designated meet up location, we immediately started looking for Sandy. We searched everywhere in the vicinity, with no luck. Sandy later claimed she had been there, but if true, she didn’t look for us (a family of 4, obviously searching for someone). I texted 10 minutes after the meeting time and got no reply until about 20 minutes later, when she said she was already home and couldn’t get back for another 20 minutes. We’d waited in the cold for over 45 minutes at that point. This was wildly frustrating and disappointing to me and my family. What a terrible way to start our visit to Vienna, and totally surprising given the great experience we had with this company in Greece just a few years earlier.No show

Met Sandy by the golden bear and straight away we both knew we were with a local, she was just a lovely bright woman with a passion for her city Vienna. She holds your interest in the way she is, and had a rare and interesting historical knowledge of her city but can go back and go to the present day in a way only someone like her can. She took us first for the genuine Austrian sandwiches where only Viennese were they were delicious and delicate and the baby beer balanced them beautifully. She is easy to talk to and interested in the world so you feel like you have met a new friend. The next stop was to enjoy Pumkin soup and platter of local Viennese cured meats, cheeses and delicious breads, matched with a local Danube Austrian Sauvignon I can still taste this now just sumptuous. She chats and walks and gives you great tips and then we arrive at a lovely Viennese coffee house for 3 sweet delicacies we barely have room but cannot resist and have to say the Strudel won. Thanks Sandy this 3 hours spent with you was memorable and we cannot thank you enough, good luck in all that you do in the future and big thanks from your 2 UK girls❤️Sandy shows us her Vienna

This tour with Susanne is great in several key ways. One of our group members had a gluten allergy, and Susanne was empathetic and helpful to provide suggestions and alternatives; I think this was the biggest reason we had such a positive experience. Our group of four loves to learn about history, and so we enjoyed seeing the sights between each food stop and learning about them, as well as understanding the current and historical context behind the food we ate. There were more stops with smaller amounts of food, which I think was a good way to experience many different culinary environments. We still had time to linger at each place, so we did not feel like we were in a hurry. Susanne was a personable and friendly person to follow. Some tour guides seem like they're reciting a script or working on "auto-pilot," but with Susanne, conversation flowed naturally all while she led us through Innere Stadt. We felt comfortable with her, and I strongly recommend this tour with her!An inclusive and educational experience!

We are very pleased with Selin as she is full of information about Vienna and its hisory. I must admit we had a challenging time trying to remember who is who but Selin is very patient with us. We went on a food tour through Vienna in October with Sandy, and it was an unforgettable experience! Sandy was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the city's food scene, but she was also warm and personable. It felt like we were eating with a friend who just happened to know all the best spots in Vienna. When it unexpectedly started to rain, Sandy quickly adapted her plan, ensuring we stayed dry while still enjoying all the delicious stops on the tour. We sampled local favorites like goulash, wiener schnitzel, various desserts, and a selection of finger sandwiches. But the highlight was when Sandy went above and beyond by ordering a unique twist on the famous sacher torte—served as a layered mousse in a glass instead of the traditional cake!
