What you can expect
Sicily is more than the biggest island in the Mediterranean Sea - it is stepped in tradition and influenced by centuries of conquering countries.
Food in Sicily is unique to the world and distinctive in flavor. The extraordinary richness of Sicilian cuisine is a tribute to the Mediterranean Sea and a clear reflection of the cultural layers that have occurred over thousand of years of history of the island. Travelers not only come for its history or its amazing architecture but also for its culinary tradition. This amazing combination of flavors and colors gave birth to one of the most balanced cuisine of the world: the Mediterranean diet, included by UNESCO in the list of intangible cultural heritage.
Sicilian culinary art expresses its best at the dinner table and in the recipes of our Mamma or Nonna, therefore having the opportunity to have a home dinner is a unique experience!
The house is the temple where ancient and traditional rituals take place - cooking is a ritual, and so is consuming the meals. Families seat together at the table, often accompanied by neighbors, friends, and relatives... please, do take your seat and join me at my table!
P.S.: Some dishes may vary according to the season and to the availability of the ingredients. I prefer not to cook for vegans, vegetarians and coeliacs. No pets are allowed in the house.

You can choose between: Maccheroni alla Norma (tomato sauce, fried egg plant, basil and salted ricotta cheese); Spaghetti with Pomodorini di Pachino and Bottarga (Pachino cherry tomatoes, tuna roe, garlic and chili pepper); Spaccatelle with Tuna, Lemon and Cappers (Tuna, lemon peel, mint, black pepper and cappers). -

You can choose between: Polpette in agrodolce (fried beef and pork minced meat, eggs, bread, parmesan and pecorino cheese, onions, vinegar and sugar), Involtini alla Siciliana (beef, bread crumbs, pecorino cheese, red onions, olive oil) Spezzatino con Patate e Piselli (beef muscle, onions, wine, potatoes, peas, black pepper), Polpette al limone (roasted beef and pork minced meat, eggs, bread, mint leaves, lemon peel, black pepper), Mascoline alla Catanese (fried anchovies in bread crumbs) -
Contorno
Salad or season vegetables like caponata, peperonata, grilled vegetables, etc. -
Dolce
Biancomangiare (almond milk pudding) with either roasted almonds or Pistacchio di Bronte, cinnamon, chocolate. -
Bevande
Sicilian Prosecco, red or white Sicilian wine, Zibibbo or Malvasia, still and sparkling water. -
