Die Tour war perfekt für uns und unsere beiden Söhne (12 & 15). Chatchai hat die perfekte Uhrzeit für seine Tour gewählt: 15:30 Uhr bis 19:30 Uhr, da ist die größte Hitze in Bangkok schon vorbei und man kann die Abendstunden genießen. Richtig dosiert hat er für uns die Informationen zu allen Sehenswürdigkeiten. Und unser Highlight zum Abschluss war das Streetfood in Chinatown. He was extremely knowledgeable and taught us all different things about Bangkok, Buddhism, showed us high points of various temples and monuments. He also showed us how to make lotus offerings at the temples and took us on a tuk-tuk ride through the flower market it was truly an amazing journey. My husband and I spent a lovely 4 hours with Chatchai on our day in Bangkok. We met near the flower market where he then took us through and explained about the beautiful flower arrangements, the cultural significance of the different religions, how they mix together and meaning of the flower colours used for the floral offerings. He purchased some lotus flowers for us and then we caught a Tuktuk to a beautiful Stupa and he showed us how to fold the petals of the lotus flowers to make our offering. We then got to go inside the stupa and he explained all about it, the history and meaning. We got to feed some turtles there which was fun and a nice break in a shady spot with a lovely pond before proceeding to the Grand palace. Just wow. The complex is stunning and it was worth every dollar we paid for the tour to have such a knowledgeable guide who could explain all about the history of the buildings and the meanings of the stunning murals and the stories they tell. Chatchai has impeccable English and he immediately made us feel at ease with his gentle and kind personality. Thank you so much for sharing with us some of your beautiful culture and city Chatchai. We had the pleasure of Chatchai showing us around Bangkok on Christmas Eve. He was professional, knowledgeable, enthusiastic & obviously cares so much about the city he lives in. The five hour tour flew by and we could not have wanted for anything more. He took us to many of the highlights of Bangkok and even recommended additional places of interest. He give us a huge amount of information which helped us through the rest of the trip. For us it was one of the highlights of our three wonderful weeks in Thailand. We were a family of 4 with 2 boys aged 12 and 15 and we did this 3 hour tour on our first day in Bangkok. I can't recommend it enough, we went to the flower market which was fabulous an Chatchai bought a bunch of lotus flowers which we took to the Royal Temple. He showed us how to prepare the flowers to offer them to Buddha which was a lovely experience. We then fed terrapins and snapping turtles. We had a couple of tuk tuk rides which were great fun. Please do consider doing this tour, it's great to be with a local, to ask them questions and for recommendations - it really was a great experience and it kept our boys engaged throughout. We met Chatchai at 4pm and he spent more than 3 hours showing us some of the hidden sights of Bangkok. He was very friendly and all of us (including an 11 and 14 year old) liked him immediately and felt relaxed with him. The kids asked lots of questions and we did unusual activities like feeding the turtles and folding lotus flowers, as well as seeing the flower market and temples. At the end of the trip he made sure we knew the way to go to get back to our hotel. After the trip he also helped us find another guide to take us to Ayutthaya and gave us suggestions of other things to do in Bangkok. Thank you Chai!! Wonderful fun afternoon

Chatchai was an absolutely wonderful guide for a multi generational family reunion. We had a party of 10 ages 7 to 73 and Chatchai planned a fabulous day around Bangkok, seeing all of the major sites and traveling on a variety of transportation (long tail, boat, ferry, TukTuk, etc.). He was so thoughtful about the day and found very creative ways to keep all age ranges engaged, and all the while, avoiding the heat. Fabulous time with Chai. He was excellent at explaining Thai culture, history, religion to us. Answered all our questions and taught us loads! Kids were kept interested which was important and he noticed when we were flagging in the heat and helped us find water and cool down. It was the perfect start to our holiday. We have been to Bangkok a number of times but we have always stuck to MBK and other shopping malls. For this trip, I had the last minute "sudden inspiration" to do more than just shopping malls and began looking around what is possible for trips with my family (including younger children). I saw Chai's profile and asked for help. He did more than that since I don't know what I wanted. He came up with a proposal quickly and I got the booking confirmed just before I travelled to Bangkok. It's the first time we had travel via tuktuk like a local, visited temples (1 with Chinese influence and typically not visited by tourists) and learnt how to fold lotus petals for offerings. He explained the Dos and Don'ts upfront and would answer our questions patiently. whether it was related to the places or not. We will be back again to engage his services and we highly recommend his services to people looking for a local perspective and not looking forward to touristy activities.Thank you Chai 🙏🏻

Chatchai was perfect for a tour guide of 1 day only in Bangkok. All the visits and the transfers were organised with a very good timing . We tried everything : taxi, tuk tuk and boat. We had lunch in a small typical restaurant we would never tried alone and tasted the typical simple dishes. In 6 hours we have been able to see almost all the places to visit. We had asked Chatchai for 2days visits around Bangkok for our family (my wife and I and our 2 kids 9 and 12yold) and it was FANTASTIC. First of all, he is very friendly. We went to the usual must sees of Bangkok but he also adapted thz visits to the kids, turtle feeding, fish feeding, lotus flower turning,... He also took us to not ultra touristics spots as street food and markets... On top of that he told us a lot about Thai history and made it interesting for our kids and for ourselves... We could not have a had as good a time as we did had it not been for Chatchai. We found Chatchai on an app called With Locals. The same app we used in Singapore. Chatchai arranged everything, taxis, Tuk tuks, a car service, the boat ride. He got us all of the admission tickets. His college background is in food science and he along with some friends own a restaurant. His passion is history. He knew everything about the sites we visited. And as. We had Chatchai as a guide? He was very nice and knowledgeable. Driver was excellent and the car was really comfortable. They provided us cold towels and cold water. It was a well organised and interesting day in Ayutthaya & floating market. Chatchai took us to a nice restaurant for lunch and he even bought us some cotton candy! I would definitely recommend him.

We did the Bangkok’s Monks, Markets & Non-Touristy Temples Day Trip with Chatchai. It was amazing to get off the beaten path and see places we would not have discovered on our own. Chatchai was an excellent guide. We spent the whole day with him on a personlized tour seeing the highlights of Bangkok (2 adults and 2 kids - 4&7 years old). xcellent guide, communicated with us a lot via Whats App, which was especially helpful when our Grab taxi app was not working and we were late to meet him. Very thorough overview of Bangkok, with very good knowledge of the temples, Buddhism-Thai style, food and restaurants, and other information and advice as well! Maybe best was his understanding of the questions we asked, and his ability to answer them. This is not trivial, as many guides with English as a second language know the things they have learned in their tour guide training, but often cannot understand questions or go much deeper in knowledge or descriptions. He was extremely polite and gracious. We felt very comfortable with Chatchai. Chatchai was the best guide we could have asked for. We only had a day and a half in Bangkok so we wanted to see as much as possible. I emailed Chatchai and he responded back very quickly. I explained what we wanted to see and he sent me the perfect itinerary that had all the major “must sees”. Sent me reminders about proper clothing attire for the temples. He was a wealth of knowledge and has a great personality. Took us to a local little place for lunch, food was fantastic. If there is a word to describe Chatchai it has to be: professional. He has been a true professional in absolutely everything he did and made us feel amazing: from all the fun facts to showing us the best photo angles. The tour itself includes all the big highlights of Bangkok and some more secluded gems such as local temples where you can feed turtles. You can really ask any question on Thai culture/society/history/economy or religion and Chatchai will always have an answer for it. Always! It is perhaps this ability that made us understand all the sights a bit more and give us some perspective on Thai culture rather than mindlessly visiting the attractions. An unexpected bonus for us was going through almost all forms of transport (bus, tuk tuk, ferry) and as such, you really get a feeling of the hustle and bustle of the city. We couldn't have asked for a better guide than Chatchai. This was our first time using With Locals and I was a little hesitant as I thought their rates were high. Since we only had one full day in Bangkok we decided to go with a private tour and I am so glad we did. Chatchai was great in communicating prior to the trip and helping us decide what we wanted to see. He was very organized during the tour and made getting through the crowds at the temples very easy. His English was great and he was very easy to get along with. It was nice having someone with personal knowledge of the city and not just going from a script type of format. He was also very sweet in accommodating my wanting to go the weekend market. Not only did he take us there but he stayed with us and found us a great place to eat in the market. At no point did he make us feel rushed and it was only after we told him that we were ok on our own that he was willing to leave. He made sure that we knew exactly how to get back. Yes, if you are moving around with Chatchai! :) We went together to Grand Palace, Ayutthaya trip and to some nice places during "Bangkok with kids" trip. We came to Bangkok with 2 children, 10 and 6 years old and ready for an adventure. We only had one day to do it and didn’t want to have to plan or think. Chatchai built us an 8 hour adventure through temples, things for the kids, amazing food and markets. Chatchai was waiting for us when we met him at the MRT station. We spent a lovely moment with him at the flower market where we bought lotus to offer to the temple, feeding the turtles, paying respect to the reclining Buddha, climbing the Golden mountain... Chatchai was interesting and caring. The kids loved to craft the lotus, feed the turtles and move from one point to the other in a tuk tuk.
