Myself, my husband, and our two young children (2 and 4 years old) went on a food tour with Silvina in Alicante and it was fabulous. We ate amazing food,drank delicious wine (or juice for the kids), and learned a lot about the culture, food, and wine of Alicante. Even my sometimes difficult to please children enjoyed the tour and my 4 year old said it was his favorite part of our whole trip. I would definitely recommend booking a tour with Silvina! We really enjoyed our walking tour of Alicante with Andrea. She was really knowledgeable about the area and showed us things we might otherwise have walked past. We would have loved to have done the food tour but it didn't fit in with our other plans, but Andrea was really good at giving us tips for places to eat so I think that also would have been excellent.Alicante Walking Tour

With only 2 days to explore Alicante, we wanted to ensure that we obtained an initial introduction from a local that could show us all the key and hidden sights that would leave us with a taste of the city and also inspire us regarding what to explore on our own. We had a late afternoon stroll around the city with Andrea uncovering those unexpected facts that we would never have discovered on our own. Walking pleasantly broken up with Tapas stops where Andrea introduced us to local dishes and wines that we wouldn’t have had the courage to order ourselves. With new knowledge we went to the Mercado the following day and feasted on many of the tapas again. What a splendid day with Andrea - she was very knowledgeable, her English impeccable, and most of all she was great fun! She took us all over the city - showing us many out-of-the-way places that we would never have seen otherwise and always with a background story! She even offered us a local drink to finish off our tour! She was very understanding when we had unfortunately to finish the tour a little bit earlier than expected because we had to check out of our hotel. Andrea Silvina showed up promptly at the meeting point and took us, a group of six men, to a food journey of Alicante without the hassle of driving or walking far. We got to experience different wines, meet, cheese and fish in different locations at the market and in the down town area. All matched up with stories of the area and the culture. Andrea was the perfect travel guide to get us started in Alicante. She balanced our interest in food, culture and history perfectly. So many guides overwhelm you with history you can read from a book.
