We got a message from Artty the day of our tour that he was sick. His friend, Tony, was the replacement and did a great job showing us the backstreets of Bangkok and giving us recommendations for food and a bar after our tour ended. We would never have gone to the speak-easy and really enjoyed it. Tony was also helpful in giving us advice for navigating the train system for other tours later in our trip. It was great introduction to Bangkok on our first day of our trip!A fun time with Tony

Our Urban Jungle tour with Artty was exactly what we had hoped for, an in depth exploration of a lesser known neighborhood as only a local could show us, and it turns out the neighborhood we explored was where Artty grew up. Artty is a great storyteller and he had lots of stories to tell, some historical, some cultural/religious and some personal. He was happy to tailor the tour to what we wanted to see, but we ended up leaving it to him, as he knows best. There were many cool surprises and interesting things we learned on the way and we ended up at Wat Trimit to see the Golden Buddha, a fascinating story as only Artty could tell. We have lived in Bangkok for several months, but it was great to walk with Arrty and learn about his neighborhood. Artty showed us things that we may have walked by without even noticing and his stories brought the area to life. He showed us a great rooftop bar with an amazing view of the river. We had been in Bangkok and Bangrak in particular many times, so we were interested in hidden gems. And Artty delivered! He showed and explained us new and exciting places we didn't know about, or just walked by before without even noticing. His storytelling is witty and highly interesting. First of all: Artty is a super nice guy as well a awesome tour guide and we enjoyed every moment with him. Artty is showing you his area and neighborhood of his childhood. You will see super interesting places like markets, tempel, almost insignificant restaurants with Michelin awards, small local streets full of life, a lot of art, important new and old buildings and finally Yaowarat area… and why I call it Yaowarat area and not Chinatown, is what you learn from Arrty on this tour. Finally the tour was so good, that now (1 week later) we had to went all the places again by our own. We tried all the restaurants we went by at the tour, bought shoes in the hipster boutique area and now at this moment, we’re sitting on the secret roof top bar with a great view to the city and river, which Arrty highly recommended us 🌇 He was totally right, it is incredible nice here 🙏🏻 Thank you so much, we have come back in your childhood area as soon as possible and need to book some more exciting tours with you! 🙏🏻❤️ Amazing deep innercity tour in Bangkok

I have traveled a lot and must say that Artty is one of the best guides I’ve ever had. He is everything you want - kind, patient, flexible, organized, communicative, great sense of humor, and of course has great knowledge of the places you visit and good stories to tell about them. We had two tours set up with him. I ended up injuring my foot badly and couldn’t join the first one, but I felt completely confident letting him take my young teen without me. She came back beaming because she had such a good time. The next day I joined them. He modified everything so I could go on crutches, and took the additional time I needed to get from place to place. We had the best day with him! He really went above and beyond. Thank you Artty! The BEST!!

We really wanted to jump right in as we didn't have much time in Bangkok, but the city is too overwhelming to figure out in a day. We had a wonderful time with Artty. We met at the Sathorn Pier to start a walking tour through his neighbourhood "Bang Kran".. He showed us hidden places, streetarts, an art gallery, churches, mosques and temples. We had a break at a coffeebar at the 1. floor of a shop providing car parts.. it was an unique experience. Bangkok can be a bit intimidating at first to foreigners with its endless skyscrapers, luxury malls and numerous temples it’s hard to know how best to tackle it. Answer- ask Artty! He took us out around his own neighbourhood for a nice relaxed and well- rounded tour we all enjoyed, 10 year old and 12 year old included. He gave us lots of information about Bangkok, Thai culture and history and showed us different types of architecture, pointing out interesting landmarks and little gems such as the best street food (rotis were delicious) rooftop bars, coffee shops and art galleries. We ended by visiting a temple with a great story attached- ask Artty, he tells it well…. Definitely book at beginning not end of your stay as you will want to revisit some of these spots. Highly recommend. Perfect tour for us!

Artty hat uns die weniger touristischen Gegenden von Bangkok gezeigt. Die Straßen mit Metallhandwerk waren sehr beeindruckend. Enge Gassen, Plätze an denen die unterschiedlichen Religionen miteinander agieren. Wirklich beeindruckende kleine Galerien, tolle Fotospots…. Und alles von Artty mit viel Engagement begleitet. Loved the tour with Artty, recommend it for anyone who wants to take a break from temples. Artty will take you to the 'lived in' Bangkok. Pack your good walking shoes! My kids, 18 and 11, had a great time despite being footsore. Artty tailored the tour for us. Arrty was such a great host. This was not a typical tour of all the tourist traps but a unique tour of the history of Thai culture and local spots that you would typically walk right past. I gained an insiders view of the Thai people and their daily lives. Artty also knew all the spots to get phenomenal food. We visted a number of cultural spots and also places were the hipsters hang out. The graffiti alley was stunning. We enjoyed a drink watching the sunset of the river which was breathtaking. Arrty has a great sense of humor and made me feel like family. Please do yourself a favor and go on this urban jungle tour. You wont regret it!Arrty is the Man!

Tour was actually with Tony. He did a great job in explaining different aspects of Buddhism, Thai traditions and history and more specifically life in Bangkok. Artty hat eine Vertretung geschickt. Tony. In sehr gutem Englisch hat er uns viel Neues erklärt und gezeigt. Mit raschem Schritt sind wir durch die Strassen Bangkoks gelaufen und haben zusätzlich den LocalBus genommen. Leider ging die Tour ebenso rasch bereits nach 2h zu Ende. 3h waren geplant. Das tat der Stimmung aber keinen Abbruch, es hat sehr viel Spass gemacht! Wir haben viel gelernt und geschehen. Bangkok und Tony sind nur zu empfehlen! Genau das Richtige
