   The hike will take through the forest and along the way, you will learn about the traditional medicinal plants used by the Orang Asli, as well as how they source for food, shelter materials, fresh water and clothing.

6. Enjoy a delicious local lunch

   Enjoy a delicious local lunch cooked by one of the Orang Asli cooks. The meal would include fresh ulam (local salad) that is sourced from the forest.

7. Relax by a private riverbank

   We end the experience with a relaxing session by a river nearby where you can soak your feet in crystal clear waters and enjoy the thundering sounds of the river as you take a nap in a bamboo hut.

We absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur who wants to learn more about the indigenous way of life in Malaysia. It completely surpassed our expectations. May was a fantastic guide/interpreter. She was a great communicator before the tour so we knew exactly what we needed to bring and what to expect, and a lot of fun to spend time with. She runs tours across Malaysia and we've kept her contact details for future trips. Our indigenous guide, Lan, was really good-natured and so informative. He was happy to stop and answer any questions we had, and he seemed to be very understanding of the fact that things which might be simple or obvious to him were really new to us. His family are utterly adorable - eating lunch with them was a pleasure and we really enjoyed the spontaneous lesson in how they weave leaves to make a roof for a shelter. The chill-out spot by the river at the end of the tour is actually part of a retreat where you can pay to spend a night in the shelter. We're very tempted to do this tour again sometime but book to stay in the shelter as well, to get the full rainforest experience.The highlight of our trip

Having less than 24 hours in Kuala Lumpur my wife and I wanted to experience the food and culture as best we could in that short space of time for our first night of our honeymoon - we booked a street food tour with May. The tour was excellent. May, local to the area, took us to the Pasar Malam Taman Connaught night market. She was extremely welcoming, knowledgable and fun. We walked and ate our way through the market, trying a variety of dishes, sweet and savoury - all delicious. May caters to your taste through getting to know you and what you like/dislike. We booked the Nightmarket Tour with May and we had a really wonderful time! She took us to a night market out of town where we could try both Chinese and Malay dishes and snacks and soak up the unique atmosphere. May was a truly gracious host and knowledgeable guide. She selected a wide variety of delicious food and also accommodated our special requests (I.e. things we really wanted to try). All the while explaining us what we were eating, why it is special and liked. In the end we were all very full, happy and quite a bit smarter. May was our tour guide for a brief 4 hours visit from our cruise ship. She managed the time very well. May took us to KL Tower and took quality pictures for our group (7 of us). We also went to Independence Square. She also showed us how KL got it's name. We ended the tour with a Malaysian feast. In order to complete the lunch on time, she helped ordering, serving and clearing the table. All of us on the tour were very satisfied. May went above and beyond the duties of a tour guide. Multicultural food tour with May Last month the family made a trip to Kuala Lumpur and were lucky enough to join May for an afternoon of culinary delights and discovery of her wonderful city. Very easy to deal with May was on the ball with WhatsApp for communication and organisation. No sooner did we get off the Grab in Chinatown and she had spotted us and off we went wandering the streets. I have no idea how many dishes we tried but the experience was above expectation. Between sitting down in a Mamak and chatting to customers to finger food served in these streets for generations there was something for the whole family. May was very engaging with everyone in our little group and did a wonderful job finding vegetarian options for our kids. The tour was also full of history and hidden gems that really made it one of the highlights of our stay in Malaysia. Thank you May. 10 out of 10

We have had a fabulous time walking around KL with May. She quickly got to grips with our names and accepted the challenge to fill us up. She too us to places we would not choose to enter due to our lack of language skills and misunderstanding of the offering. May is a friendly and approachable woman who gave us a fabulous experience. We had wandered through the same areas the day before but didn’t have the knowledge or confidence to sample the local food. However, with May, the experience was totally different. May’s expertise and enthusiasm were infectious. I would recommend a very light breakfast and then arrange to meet May around 11 am. Our party of 5 enjoyed a private, multicultural food tour with May. We had provided a ridiculously long list of foods we wanted to eat (eyes being bigger than our stomachs and all that) and May was able to select the best items to sample before we got too full. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk from one food stall to another, May's knowledge on the local history and the foods we were enjoying. The assam laksa was my fave. May was so lovely and provided us an amazing amount of food that we would never have tried without her. She was also excellent at explaining the cultural importance of the food. first up May is a great host, the knowledge, anecdotes and way she describes the food and cultures around central KL is itself a feast. the actual food May takes you to enjoy is in the most unusual and always interesting places. whether it’s the Indian curry restaurant and describing the culture and food or the wonderful >100 year old bakery or the many other great places, you get to see a KL that you would never experience on your own. a highlight of 3 weeks in Malaysia. thank you an experience impossible on your own

May was fantastic - she introduced to quite a range of local and authentic street foods that served as a great introduction to Kuala Lumpur's diverse melting pot of culture and cuisine. Her knowledge as a local was invaluable and we were able to try things and learn things that we wouldn't have been able to touring on our own. Although the heat and humidity can be a bit intense, each stop on the walking tour was within reasonable distance from the next, and the tour was quite manageable. May also offered to take photos for us at some photo ops along the journey, which was very helpful, as sometimes our hands were occupied with snacks. You definitely want to come hungry for this tour, as you will be sampling a lot of different foods!Come hungry - you won't regret booking!

May was a delight to have as our guide. Good communication prior to the tour, and spoke English superbly. The food was great- going to places we wouldn’t have known about. The only slight negative was that we didn’t need nor want to go to a Hindu temple at the start of our tour- esp as this was a food tour. Instead of the 30min we spent here, we would have preferred another food offering. Still an enjoyable afternoon/evening trying a few new dishes/drinks. Passionate, friendly guide

In Nov 2022, me and my wife decided to try out the tour "The 10 Tastings of Kuala Lumpur: Street Food". Our guide, May, was the best at introducing us to the most authentic and delicious dishes. We experienced many savoury dishes from different cuisines, but also some nice desserts and great drinks. May was very considerate and very on point with our preferences. While finding some more space for food, May also took us to visit a great bookstore where we where able to browse through some books and nice art. May was friendly, warm and adaptable to suit what we were looking for. Really helpful and showing us how to use the Metro, and where all the trending bars were. We did a lunchtime tour around Chinatown, and then at a later date, a night market. Both showcasing the delicious Malaysian cuisine and also the locals. Too many favourites to mention over the two tours. But if you get the chance to try the Spring Rolls at the night market, go for it!!! AMAZING. May

Had the most amazing night food tour with May! We went to a really awesome night market in petaling jaya. Was a night market we wouldn’t have found on our own and was authentic and so much fun! May’s passion and knowledge of the local food really shines through. We tried so many delicious local treats and so many foods that we never would have tried on our own which was so amazing. There were so many delicious treats but the stand out were the Kaya balls! We had never tried anything like it in our lives are addicted!!! We ended up finishing the tour at a local mamak and by the end of it we had absolutely no room left in our stomachs we were so full! An incredible tour, highly recommend May to anyone seeking or thinking about doing a tour in KL we had so much fun and learnt so many new things and new foods!!! We had May as our foodie tour guide in Kuala Lumpur and I have to say it was one of the best tours we have ever done. We had our six month old baby with us, did the tour on one of KL’s busiest days of the year -Independence Day, with massive crowds, and we hugely enjoyed it. Despite a massive thunderstorms and huge crowds, May provided us with an awesome tour. We tried so many different dishes and drinks, it was hard to choose a favorite by the end. May was knowledgeable with her food expertise and local knowledge, was able to answer all our questions. We will be highly recommending May to all our family and friends that visit KL. I had a wonderful food tour with May. She took me to these hidden places where excellent food is crafted with tradition and for many many years. Small business owners who have been there for long time and are part of the bustling Chinatown. We visited also some of the temples and we were very fortunate that we bumped into a ceremony and a nice gentleman invited us for their buffet lunch at the Hindu temple. Imagina que quedas con una buena amiga para que te descubra los diferentes platos típicos en Malasia, esa es May. Una persona de lo más agradable y simpática, durante el tiempo de nuestro tour nos llevó a diferentes sitios donde probar comida Malaya, China e India, la mayoría de sitios no son los típicos restaurantes, si no más bien pequeños puestos donde jamás te hubieras sentado sino te lo recomienda un local, un total acierto, que cantidad de cosas ricas. Una de las cosas que valoro es que habiendo una gastronomía tan rica May supo elegir para nosotros diferentes platos tradicionales pero a la vez ligeros para acabar el tour satisfecho pero no lleno. ¡Necesito probar más platos!, la próxima vez que vaya a Kuala Lumpur contaré con May para probar otra ronda de buenas recetas.¡Quiero probar más platos!
