What you can expect

You will be picked up from your hotel in Paphos, Coral Bay, Kissonerga, Chloraka, Kato Paphos, or Yeroskipou. Drive to the second largest dam in Cyprus and take photos while learning about the area. Stop at the Panagia Salamiotissa Monastery and then head to the traditional village of Salamiou to taste some village delicacies.

Continue your journey through Mesana and Arminou villages to see one of the most beautiful dams in Cyprus, the Arminou Dam, and take an off-road drive through the forest to cross the river and stop at the Venetian Bridge, Tzelefos. Proceed through the forest to visit the Chantara waterfall. Refresh your mind with a swim under the waterfall! Next, visit Omodos, a wine-producing village, for a lunch break (lunch not included).

After lunch, visit the Timios Stavros Monastery, the Ecclesiastical Treasury Museum, and the medieval wine press. Explore glass and lace shops and sample Cypriot sweets like carob nuts. Enjoy wine tasting and try the oldest wine ever made, Commandaria wine from Cyprus, recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records as the oldest named wine in the world. Visit the second largest dam in Cyprus, Asprokremnos, and the Arminou Dam.

See the Ancient Olive Tree of Avdimou and drive to Petra tou Romiou, the birthplace of the goddess of beauty and love, Aphrodite. Finally, you will be taken back to your hotel.

We toured the beautiful city of Pafos last Sunday with Konstantinos as our guide and we had an amazing time. We were shown around the city and visited the historical landmarks, all while learning about the conflict between the Greek and Turkish Cypriots.
