We had an excellent evening exploring the story of gay Athens from ancient times to today with Stavros. More than that, we have met a new friend in Greece. From the moment we met Stavros at Parliament, we felt his friendly demeanor. He had excellent ideas and I sight into the unwritten gay history of the city. We went around to many historical sites ina leisurely, circular walk. At the end, we sat and chatted at a gay cafe where we had a drink and shared some pizza. I thoroughly enjoyed my tour with Stavros. He shared some truly fascinating insights on LGBTQ life and its history in Athens. He truly takes very justifiable pride in his tours and really showcases Athens. Additionally Stavros is a very attentive and friendly person who was proactive in his communications with me as I had asked to customize the tour by starting with a visit to the Panethenaic Stadium. He reached out to me to let me know about an event that was taking place at the stadium and advised me on what was still available at the stadium during my visit. In the end we had a truly memorable visit to the stadium and we ended up seeing so many beautiful sites in Athens. All topped off with my first delicious taste of Goat Milk ice cream in lieu of a drink at a bar as I’m not much of a drinker. Stavros and his tour exceeded all of my hopes and expectations. Stavros! This was by far the best thing I did in Athens. It could not have been better tailored to what YOU want to do. I felt like I actually lived here and was just going out with a friend who knows a bunch of history about the city. I felt like an Athens insider. This is truly an experience I will NEVER forget. Our time with Stavros was extremely lovely. We've chatted a little prior to our meeting about accommodations that we might need for my partner who is currently struggling with some aspects of her health which meant: 1. That she can't consume alcohol and 2. That she should avoid straining physical exercises. Stavros was very understanding and compassionate and the tour that we've received was a delight of a journey through the local gay history from the ancient to modern times and culture, with enough resting points to take a breather in between the walking in the beautiful city lights of Athens & recommendations for the rest of our stay in Greece, too! ;) Stavros was an amazing guide and we are really glad that we got such an authentic taste of the life of fellow LGBT people in the lively capital of Greece, and I absolutely recommend anyone to take on the opportunity to earn some time with this guy, he's a sweetheart and a blast to chat with! It was significant to us, as a queer couple, to be able to get a sight and feel of how our community is doing across the sea and to support local LGBT owned &/ run businesses and we've felt very fulfilled with our time well spent and all that we've learnt on our trip as a whole ♥Enjoyed our time a whole lot, 10/10! ♥

Stavros is an excellent guide. Very intelligent, educated, and funny. The tour itself was awesome, and he kept a great pace without feeling rushed. Stavros is also extremely personable, and very responsive to his guests. When he figured out that I had a particular interest, which I had only mentioned in passing, he added two sites not on our original itinerary. Incredibly thoughtful, insightful and full of heart, Stavro went out of his way to customize the tour for me based on a few things I told him, sharing history, little-known facts and pro tips, plus hidden gems I'd never seen in my 10 years living in Athens. I was happy to take the tour as written, but instead he surprised me with so much more, starting in Syntagma and ending on a rooftop bar with a view of the Acropolis full of locals and not tourists. Loved my time with Stavro, exchanging stories and laughing as we walked though the streets on a beautiful evening, as if we'd known each other for years. My husband and I took the LGBTQ tour with Stavros back in July. From the beginning of our booking, he stayed in touch with me right up until the day of our tour. From the moment we met Stavros at our assigned meeting time and place, it was like we rediscovered an old friend. Our time with him was not only educational, but enlightening, as he gave us candid insight into contemporary gay life in Athens. We stopped at some great spots on our tour with him, learned much, and had a bunch of laughs along the way. After a 15 hour flight I stepped into a shower and stepped out to take the evening tour with Stavros. I don’t know what my expectations were but Stavros showed me a part of Athens I don’t think a lot of people get to see through a gay-lens. Stavros told me a few times that he “isn’t a tour guide” or “have all the answers” but his knowledge on the areas he shows and the thought behind his curation of sites is extensive. He connects the politics and culture of the past to present day issues and does in a way that is easy to connect with and enjoy. Stavros could lecture at universities—his presentation (which is earnestly sex positive) held a depth of insight and knowledge I don’t often encounter. We booked this tour to see the local hangout spots in Athens and had a fantastic time. When we first met Stavros he made us feel like we were meeting a long time friend. Not only did he walk us through some of the local LGBT hangout spots but he also took us to some of the famous historical sites as well. I’ll do my best to do Stavros justice with this review. In short, I’m so happy I booked this tour. Stavros was such a joy to spend a few hours with in Athens - the tour really felt like I was just exploring Athens with a friend. Stravos is a wonderful guide. He knew alot about the history and the here and now of Athens. I got completely immersed in the stories and felt like I was walking through ancient Greece with him. Besides the historical and cultural journey we went through I also had alot of fun. It felt like I was chilling with a friend, talking about the LGBTQI+ culture of Greece and having lots of laughs and personal stories in between. Besides the history of it all we also went through some locations that are well known as hangout places for LGBTQI+ folks in the current time. I myself am a straight woman but I wanted to learn a more alternative and authentic perspective of Greece. The LGBTQI+ culture has been a big part of Athens culture for many decades but its often overlooked in mainstream tours. This was a very refreshing and fun take on that part. The suprise he had planned at the end of the tour was absolutely wonderful as well! Overall Stravos has been a very helpful, fun and interesting tour guide and I recommend everyone to book a tour with him! You will definitly not regret it! Like walking through ancient Greece!
