This was our first visit to Krakow and our private city walking tour with Tomasz was the perfect introduction to this beautiful city. Over the course of 2 1/2 hours we explored the Old Town and the university and felt like we left with a great appreciation for both Poland’s history and for modern day Krakow. Aleksander provided and excellent introduction for my visit to Aushcwitz-Birkenauer. At the site I joined an official tour group in English (private guides are not permitted). Aleksander had obtained hard to get tickets the moment I made a reservation with him and from pick-up to delivery back to Krakow he provided exemplary service and background information. A private car nd driver is a great way to get to and from Auschwitz. An experienced guide Aleksander is highly recommended and I would use again without hesitation.Auschwitz

We fully enjoyed the tour with Tomasz.. he is very knowledgeable about the history of Poland during WWII in general and Krakow in particular, so he could guide us through those years, emphasising the important events impacting Krakow in an ‘entertaining’ way, to make it accessible. Tomasz is an excellent communicator and storyteller, which really takes you back to this period. Btw, the museum is really worth a visit, it has been designed in a modern and immersive manner, but without a guide like Tomasz, you risk missing a lot of the ideas behind it.Very interesting… and entertaining

My son and I spent 2 amazing days with
our guide, Tomasz. On day 1, with him having made all the arrangements for exhibition/museum tickets for us ahead of time (and arranging the tour guides for the Auschwitz camps), he promptly picked us up from our hotel and drove us both to the Wieliczka salt mine as well as the Auschwitz I/II camps. Along the journey, he regaled us with various stories about the rich history of the Polish peoples and joined us (at our request) for a local Polish lunch. On day 2, Tomasz was both our driver and guide. He toured us through the Schindlers museum, and showed us the Jewish ghetto and Kasimierz districts, followed by a fascinating walking tour of Old Town as well as Nowa Huta. We had some authentic Polish food tastings during our journey, and got to experience tram transport to help feel like a local, if only temporarily. Again he told numerous stories about Polish history and culture, and was informative, entertaining and respectful of me and my son at all times. We felt like old friends at the end of day 2. Tomasz comes with the highest unreserved recommendations. A must have tour guide!!Great visit!

We had a very interesting tour with Bartek through the jewish quarter, the area of the jewish ghetto and the Schindler factory. He was very friendly, accommodating, and a wealth of knowledge. Going through the factory museum with Bartek made the experience much easier than reading all of the displays ourselves considering how many people were there. Bartek organised a fantastic full day trip for us to Auschwitz/ Birkenau and the Salt mines. We were picked up at our hotel, driven to Auschwitz where he had organised an amazing guide, Bertha for us. Bertha is incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, respectful and answered the many many questions we had patiently and thoroughly. Though so confronting and uncomfortable Bertha tackled the hard issues brilliantly. Bartek then took us to a restaurant for lunch and to the salt mines and back to our hotel. Bartek gave an excellent tour of the Krakow Ghetto and Schindler's factory. While it was a three hour tour, Bartek was able to cover an amazing amount of materials explaining the growth of the city, the commercial and social life as well as going into great deal about the fate of the Jews in the area before, during and after the war.
Perhaps the most extraordinary piece was the visit to Schindler's factory. The factory has been converted into a museum and is chock full of memorabilia and artifacts starting in the early 30's and going all the way till the end of the way in the later 40's.
Without Bartek's help, we definitely would have overlooked the most important pieces of the exhibit. He moved us a long at a solid pace, drawing our attention to the most salient displays. Without that guidance we would have never made it through in an hour and a half.
Bartek is soft spoken and thoughtful. He's been conducting tours for several years and brings a weatlh of knowledge to his work. He's intent on answering personal questions and bringing this terribly period of time in Krakow history to life for his visitors.

We had asked Tomasz if we could combine food tasting with history on our walking tour of the Old Town area since we only had a couple of days in Krakow, and he did such a good job - it was perfect! He was super-knowledgeable about the history of the area, sharing lots of fun facts, stories, answering questions - he even has a laminated binder to help with the tour! And then he also had wonderful connections for food tastings and had organized everything ahead of time with the lunch restaurant so that we got to try many of the regions food highlights during our time with him from snacks to savories to desserts, including the history/significance for many of the foods!
